Following the September 3 State of Play, 007 First Light developer IO Interactive revealed the pre-order bonuses for the upcoming title, which include outfits and unique gadget skins for James Bond to use. 007 First Light also confirmed that a $299 Legacy Edition will include a Golden Gun Figurine and a matching weapon skin to use in-game, while supplies last.

The State of Play broadcast dedicated to 007 First Light shared details about the game's opening mission, which starts with a young James Bond and his supervisors infiltrating a castle. After noticing a suspicious bellhop disposing of some luggage off the side of the castle, Bond chose to follow him rather than stay at his post. The gameplay footage also demonstrated how players can avoid unwanted attention and use the environment to their advantage, similar to IO Interactive's Hitman series. The broadcast also showed a high-octane car chase and an explosive gunfight, both of which were reminiscent of various 007 films.

Ahead of the March 27 launch of 007 First Light, IO Interactive has shared three editions that fans can now pre-order at various retailers. IO Interactive has announced that 007 First Light will be available in three variations: the Standard, Specialist, and Legacy Editions. All three editions of 007 First Light come with a Free Deluxe Upgrade as a pre-order offer. The Deluxe Upgrade for 007 First Light includes four exclusive outfits, the Agent's Mark weapon skin, and a Gleaming Pack that comes with golden-colored skins for four of Bond's gadgets. Digital pre-orders of 007 First Light Standard Edition also come with 24 hours of early access on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The Specialist Edition is exclusive to physical copies and includes a Classic Tuxedo outfit along with an exclusive game cover.

Both the Standard and Specialist Editions of 007 First Light are priced at $70. Oddly enough, pre-orders of the Switch 2 version of 007 First Light are currently exclusive to the Specialist Edition, which will be sold as a Game-Key Card. The Legacy Edition of 007 First Light has a staggering price tag of $300, but also includes a Golden Gun Figurine and a steel game case. A Golden Gun skin and Obsidian Gold Suit also come as in-game goodies for Legacy Edition owners to utilize.
