The 24 Movie will finally happen after years of speculation, with 20th Century Studios and Disney in the early stages of developing the project. Kiefer Sutherland hasn't signed on yet and there are also no plot details available. Despite the ex-Federal agent coming face to face with numerous terrorist threats, it was Jack's personal relationships that were at the heart of 24. Jack's daughter, Kim, was embroiled in the pulsating real-time drama on multiple occasions, and her relationship with her father was non-existent by the end of the series, but the movie version could fix Jack and Kim's relationship.

The likelihood is that Jack Bauer has been in captivity for over 10 years when audiences potentially see him again in the 24 Movie. He handed himself over to the Russians at the end of 24: Live Another Day in exchange for Chloe and this appeared to be a sad and tragic end to his story. Jack was no stranger to being held captive by his enemies, after he spent 20 months in a Chinese prison between the events of Day 5 and Day 6. However, a decade is a long time to be imprisoned, so Jack will need a reason to go on living in the 24: Movie. That could come in the form of a rebuilt relationship with his estranged daughter, Kim, and his now grown-up granddaughter, Teri, who was named after his slain wife.

What happened To Kim Bauer In 24?

Day 1

Events Occur In Real Time

Kim Bauer is a teenager during the events of Day 1, and runs away from home shortly before Jack is called in to CTU to deal with the assassination threat on presidential candidate, David Palmer. Terrorists end up kidnapping Kim and Jack's wife, Teri, as the day unfolds. Jack rescues the pair, but Kim ends up being taken again. Kim ends the day safely at CTU, but Teri is killed by Nina, shattering her and Jack's world.

Day 2

Kim is still struggling with the loss of her mother, and starts Day 2 as a nanny to a girl called Megan. However, she gets embroiled in a drama with her abusive father, Gary, before escaping and facing off with a cougar in the woods, all while Jack fights to save Los Angeles from a nuclear threat.

Day 3

Kim is working at CTU as an analyst on Day 3, and is in a relationship with federal agent, Chase Edmunds, which causes friction with Jack. She also goes undercover impersonating the daughter of a terrorist.

Day 5

Kim sat out Day 4, but she returned on Day 5 to visit Jack at CTU after discovering he had faked his own death. Turns out, she is no longer dating Chase, and is now in a relationship with a much older man called Barry Landes, whom she brings along with her. CTU is put on lockdown after Sentox nerve gas is released into the building. Once the attack is over, Kim leaves CTU, and tells Jack she loves him but can't be around all the death and destruction that follows him around.

Day 7

Jack and Kim are estranged at the start of Day 7, but she returns when she hears Jack is dying due to exposure to a biological agent. Kim offers to help with an experimental treatment to cure him, but when Jack declines, she heads to the airport, and gets targeted by two terrorists. After the threat is averted, she returns to Jack's bedside and tells him she's not ready to let him go, and goes through with the treatment to save his life.

Day 8

Jack and Kim were back on good terms at the start of Day 8, with Jack now a proud grandparent to Teri. Kim is visiting Jack in New York, and she tries to persuade him to return to live in Los Angeles. Jack assists CTU with foiling the assassination attempt on President Hassan, but he ends up going on the run to escape the Russians, leaving his relationship with Kim in tatters once again. The Russians eventually track Jack down in 24: Live Another Day, and he agrees to hand himself in as long as Kim and the rest of his family are safe.
