There are plenty of locations to build a base in 7 Days To Die. That said, some locations are far better than others. When it comes to Navezgane, there is one of each core POI, or point of interest. While other maps do largely contain at least one of each POI, each POI will be located in a different area. Since Navezgane is a static map, the locations of each point of interest remain the same for all players.
9 Best Books In 7 Days To Die - And How To Get Them
Books are very important in 7 Days To Die, but these are the most useful out of all of them.
This topic will go over some of the best existing locations to call home in Navezgane. From The MeMaw Residence to one of the local fire stations, there are lots of fantastic locations to call home.
1 Perishton Tunnel
A Long Well-Fortified Tunnel
- Location: 1768 West 1910 North
- Best Features: Perfect For Funneling Enemies. Very Well-Fortified.
Perishton Tunnel is by far the largest location on this list. For the most part, players will want to stick with smaller, easy-to-manage POIs. However, this tunnel is perfect for controlling the flow of zombies during horde nights.
The tunnel is surrounded by thick concrete walls and there are only two entrances. Since players can have a total of three Land Claim Blocks active at any given time, it's possible to cover most of the tunnel. There's more than enough space to split the tunnel into sections and have areas for storage, fighting, crafting, and more. Also, it's right next to the large town of Perishton, meaning that the player won't have to go far to stock up on resources.
2 Lathan's Hardware
The Perfect Shape For Horde Nights
- Location: 387 East 2199 South
- Best Features: Its Square Shape Is Easy To Defend. It Has A Great Rooftop Area For Building A Farm.
Located in a small rundown mining town in the middle of the desert, this former store has a lot going for it. The walls are pretty strong, it spans multiple floors, and it's the perfect size, meaning that it's spacious without being too big. While the town around the building is pretty run down, players can still find a decent amount of loot in the various stores and homes dotted around the area.
7 Days To Die: 15 Tips For Beginners
7 Days To Die can be a tough challenge for newcomers. With these beginner tips, players can not only survive, but thrive.
Another big plus about this location is the nearby coal mine. Since players will need to stock up on coal regularly to make things like gunpowder and wheels, having a nearby coal mine comes in pretty handy.
3 NFD Engine 4
A Strong Building With Access To Nearby Loot
- Location: 1080 East 457 North
- Best Features: Strong Walls, Great Location.
NFD Engine 4 is a fan favorite. It has strong stone walls, it's in a great location, and it doesn't require that much work to turn it into a functional horde base. Thanks to its bell tower, players have a bird's eye view of the surrounding area. This is perfect for those who enjoy using ranged weapons as they can fire down at the zombies from above. Since it has a bell tower, players can make a swift exit if things get a bit too dicey during a Blood Moon.
While there are multiple entrances to the building, players can easily cover up all but one, forcing the zombies to cue up in an orderly fashion, allowing the player to pick them off one at a time.
4 The Serrano Residence
An Ideal Underground Complex
- Location: 25 West 1254 South
- Best Features: It Has A Perfect Sized Underground Base. It's Relatively Close To Traders Jen And Rekt.
This location is aimed at more experienced players. It does require some hefty underground work to turn it into a viable horde base, but the effort is more than worth it. Underneath The Serrano Residence lies a large concrete medical research bunker. If the player can dig a staircase from the bunker to the surface, then this location is perfect for dealing with large numbers of zombies.
Because it will take a minute for the zombies to make their way down to the player, there's less chance of the player being overrun. Not only that, but should the player get overwhelmed, then all they'd need to do is seal their base doors, hop on the roof of the bunker, and fire from above.
5 Crypts
A Great Starting Template
- Location: 27 West 174 South
- Best Features: Strong Stone Walls Around The Perimeter. Above And Below Ground Areas.
The Crypts are a pretty great starter base. While players may struggle with clearing it on the first day, it won't take more than a few days for the player to be well-equipped to clear out the area with ease. What makes this area such a great base is the fact that its walls are pretty sturdy. Provided that the player opens up the gate to allow zombies to trickle in, they should have no issues with zombies attacking their walls.
Because this POI has both an above-ground and an underground area, it's possible to turn the upper part of the structure into a horde base and the underground section into a storage area.
6 The Broken Dreams House
A Surprisingly Well-Maintained Building
- Location: 190 East 1714 South
- Best Features: Strong Walls. A Handy Storage Basement
The Broken Dreams House can be found in the desert biome. It's not all that far away from Trader Bob. The walls are pretty strong, it has a pool out back, so players won't need to worry about finding water, and it has a relatively spacious basement. The building itself is in better condition than many other POIs in the game, meaning that the player won't need to do a lot of work to turn this house into a home.
7 Days To Die: Best Ways To Level Up
Players can level up much more efficiently in 7 Days to Die by following a few simple strategies and tips.
It's located in a small cul-de-sac, so a few of the nearby buildings could be incorporated into the player's build over time. That said, it's a pretty calm and quiet area. Aside from the occasional wandering horde and screamers, players won't get attacked all that often.
7 The Haug Residence
Prime Post-Apocalyptic Real Estate
- Location: 235 East 1252 South
- Best Features: Close To Trader Bob. A Great Natural Vantage Point
The walls may not be particularly strong, but that doesn't really matter with this location. This entry is more about the land that the property sits on as opposed to the property itself. Situated at the top of a winding road, this place offers players a perfect vantage point where they can see zombies coming from miles away.
It is just a few hundred meters from Trader Bob, which makes completing trader missions a breeze. During horde nights, due to the amount of time it takes for zombies to make their way up the hillside, a player with a decent gun and a lot of bullets can take down most of the zombies before they have a chance to get close.
8 The MeMaw Residence
Incredibly Close To Trader Rekt
- Location: 872 West 612 North
- Best Features: Close To Trader Rekt. Relatively Clear Land Around The Main Building.
While it's not as sturdy as many of the other entries on this list, The MeMaw Residence is one of the closest POIs to Trader Rekt. Since most players will be visiting the trader regularly, being just a stone's throw away makes things considerably easier. As for the building itself, provided the player is willing to spend some time mining and crafting cobblestone, it's relatively easy to turn this location into a horde base.
Because it spans over two main floors, players can shoot from above as well as attack from the first floor. When the player reaches a point where they can place turrets, they can let the turrets do the heavy lifting downstairs, while the player takes out the stragglers that make their way into the building.
