Magazines dictate what players can craft. They are a key part of progressing through 7 Days To Die. While there is an element of luck involved regarding which magazines the player finds, over time, the player will eventually get the magazines they need for their playstyle.

The world of 7 Days To Die is big — very big. From Navezgane to random gen worlds, each map has lots of places to explore, zombies to kill, and loot to bring home. There are several ways that players can pick up magazines. This article will cover the best and most efficient ways to gather magazines.

How To Get Magazines Fast In 7 Days To Die

Thee Mailboxes

While there are lots of ways that players can get magazines, looting mailboxes is by far the most efficient way of getting large quantities in a short space of time. Mailboxes have a much higher chance of containing magazines than most other containers in the game.

If you head to one of the game's towns or cities, you can just go street by street, looting mailboxes. Since you don't need to clear out any buildings in order to get them, even low-level players can do this with minimal risk.

For extra chances of finding magazines, it may be worth investing a couple of perk points in Lucky Looter further down the line to increase your chances of finding rare magazines. However, this perk increases your loot bonus percentage. For low-level players, the percentage boost is negligible. So, aside from being able to loot faster, the boost to your loot quality won't be very noticeable.

Alternate Methods For Finding Magazines

A Bookshelf Inside A House

Mailboxes may be the most efficient way of getting lots of magazines easily, but there are lots of other ways that players can find and obtain them. For players who are well-armed, looting Crack-A-Book stores is a great way of finding lots of magazines. However, there will be a few dangerous enemies inside, so be prepared. Some of the other ways of finding magazines can be seen below:

  • Mission Rewards
  • Purchase From Traders
  • Enemy Loot Bags

Players will also find magazines in containers all over the map. While there's a chance to find a magazine or two in almost every type of container in the game, there are a few container types that have a higher chance of containing them. Players should keep an eye out for:

  • Bookcases
  • Book Piles
  • Desks
  • Filing Cabinets
  • Newspaper Dispensers
