Despite putting a lot of hours into Arc Raiders, players might be surprised to find quests that are straightforward even in the later stages of the game. A New Type of Plant is a quest that players can pick up from Lance. This is one of the easier quests in the game, where players have to acquire the Possibly Toxic Plant. Here's how players can complete the quest and get the rewards associated with it in Arc Raiders.

A New Type of Plant Quest in Arc Raiders
Once you accept the quest, load up a match on Dam Battlegrounds using either a free loadout or a normal one. The quest is very short, so if you only intend to complete the mission and leave immediately, going for the free one might be the better choice. As you spawn on the map, make your way to the Old Battleground. This is a very small area on the west side of the map near one of the extraction elevators.
As you reach the area, you will spot a Baron Husk here that you can breach and search if you want. Be mindful that breaching this will cause fire to gush out, which damages you if you stay on top.
This will also alert nearby ARC enemies or raiders that might see the fire go up, so be careful when trying to loot this.
Near the Baron Husk should be a few orange plants that you can interact with to gather them. This drops the Possibly Toxic Plant, which you can place in your inventory and make your way back to Esperanza. There is an elevator nearby, as well as a Raider Hatch to the north of this location if you have a Raider Hatch Key on you.
Once you return to the main menu, turn in the quest to get the following rewards:
- Vita Shot x1
- Antiseptic x5
Antiseptics are needed to upgrade the Medical Lab to Level 3, so it's best to keep multiple of these in your stash so that you don't have to search for them later.
