Deep Field Games' indie sci-fi title Abiotic Factor is a unique blend of genres. On one hand, players will spend a lot of time crafting and surviving. On the other, there are plenty of action, horror, and stealth elements for players to navigate as well. Throughout the game world, players can find or indeed build their own weapons in order to take on the escaped interdimensional creatures plaguing the underground facility.
While some of the more powerful weapons can be found at specific locations, others can be obtained by gaining knowledge and blueprints by collecting and interacting with different items and materials around the map. The following weapons are the strongest that players can craft from anywhere, provided they have the requisite materials.

7 Pipe Pistol
A Basic But Powerful One-Shot Pistol

The Pipe Pistol is a good early-game ranged weapon capable of taking down some smaller enemies in just a couple of hits. Though it has a relatively slow reload time, it packs a decent amount of power and can be used to destroy objects just as effectively as killing enemies.
To craft the Pipe Pistol, players can acquire Coils from computer monitors or robots, Staplers from office areas, and Metal Pipes from the walls/ Power Cells can be constructed via a Crafting Bench. Overall, it is a decent tool, but is surpassed by many other firearms in the game.
6 Scrapshot
A Handmade Shotgun With Devastating Short-Range Power

The Scrapshot is a craftable shotgun, dealing high amounts of short-range damage against both enemies and objects. Much like the Pipe Pistol, the Scrapshot can be charged up to increase its power, and its reload time is not too dissimilar to the Pipe Pistol, making it a better option overall.
Abiotic Factor: All Enemies & What They Do
In Abiotic Factor, there are multiple enemies that you may encounter during your explorations, so knowing how to identify them will come in handy.
To craft the Scrapshot shotgun, players will need to first craft a Power Cell at a Crafting Bench or locate one from around the facility. They can find Coil in Robots or Computers, while Rebars are typically found throughout the Manufacturing Sector.
5 Lightning Spear
A Lengthy Melee Weapon With Additional Energy Damage

- 1x Capacitor
- 1x Energy Brick
The Lightning Spear is an upgraded version of the regular Makeshift Spear, emitting a powerful electronic discharge whenever it strikes an opponent. The range and damage of the weapon make it one of the better choices, especially when it comes to melee combat.
Players will not need a Makeshift Spear in order to craft this version, though the components will be harder to find. Players can find the Rebar in the Manufacturing Sector and get the Capacitor from Electro-Pests. The Energy Brick and Projection Matrix will need to be crafted.
4 Explosive Sledge
Immensely Powerful Melee Weapon With Wide Area Of Effect Damage

The Explosive Sledge is arguably one of the best melee weapons in the game, and is capable of taking on larger enemies or multiple smaller ones at the same time. The only downside is that the materials required to craft this superweapon are rare and difficult to obtain.

To craft the Explosive Sledgehammer, players will first need to find a regular Sledgehammer. They can find these in the Mines, on the Train, or near the Synchrotron. The Reinforced Hose can be crafted, while the Capacitor is in Electro-Pests and Military Electronics in Military Radios.
3 Makeshift Crossbow
An Easily Craftable Ranged Weapon Ideal For Smaller Creatures

The Makeshift Crossbow is a good ranged weapon and one of the easiest to craft. Players will be able to access the materials for this weapon almost immediately, though a Crafting Bench will be necessary to complete it.
Players can find all the items required to craft the Makeshift Crossbow in the office area. Items in these rooms can also be destroyed to acquire Desk Legs and Plastic Scraps. Makeshift Bolts, which serve as the primary ammunition for the crossbow, can be crafted by combining Pens with Metal Scraps.
2 Electro-Thrower
A Powerful Energy Cannon Firing Long Beams

The Electro-Thrower is a powerful ranged weapon which fires out a sustained beam of energy which cuts down even the most powerful enemies. Like other energy-based weapons, it will do bonus damage against robot enemies, often stunning them preventing their attacks.

Boxes of Screws can be found throughout the facility, mainly in supply and engineering areas.

A Chaotic Tribute To A Great Sci-Fi Weapon

The Grinder is a unique and powerful weapon in Abiotic Factor, taking inspiration from the sawblade/gravity gun combination in Half Life 2. The Grinder fires out Grinder Disks, which must also be crafted. These will bounce around the walls erratically when fired, causing chaos and damage to anything in their path.
First, players will need to acquire an Air Compressor by heading to the Digsite and collecting items there. The Computation Brick can be crafted using various computer and robot parts. Finally, the Reinforced Hose can be crafted using a Hose, Steel Cable, and a Box of Screws.
