Meta progression in Abyssus is locked behind multiple gameplay mechanics. While Soul Fragments are the main way to make your character stronger in the game, completing achievements is also crucial, as doing so often unlocks new items and mechanics that are impossible to obtain otherwise.
Beginners to Abyssus will often find themselves confused about how to complete some achievements, as their descriptions are sometimes deliberately vague. One of the harder achievements to complete is Lightbringer, which only asks players to “light up the Hidden Brazier” but with no indication about where exactly players can find the brazier in-game. Fortunately, it is quite easy to complete this achievement if players know where to look. Here’s how.
Abyssus: All Secret Lobby Fissures
Get a new color scheme for your outfit early in Abyssus by finding all the Surge Fissures hidden in the game's lobby area.
Where to Find Hidden Brazier in Abyssus (Lightbringer Achievement)
The Hidden Brazier can be found just before the first boss fight in Abyssus, in the portal room players enter just before dropping down into the boss arena. The process of getting here is simple.
Start a run by “Ascending” from the hub area. The first area has four levels, each accessible via a blue portal after clearing a few rooms full of enemies. After clearing the third floor and entering the final portal, players will find themselves in a cave with a locked door requiring a key.
Advancing through this area will lead players down to the boss arena, which is marked by a glowing red barrier wall. Jumping through the barrier wall will start the boss fight, making this cave inaccessible for the duration of the run.
Before starting the boss fight, face the red barrier wall and turn around. You’ll see a lit, yellow brazier on the right and a broken-down, unlit brazier on the left. This is the Hidden Brazier.
Walk up to it and press the Interaction hotkey (E) to activate it, which will light it up with a bright blue gem. Doing so will trigger the “Lightbringer” achievement.
What Does Lightbringer Do in Abyssus?
Lightbringer unlocks a Rare Charm called Ms. Boom, which gives all projectiles a 50% chance to explode on hit. Ms. Boom is best used with a Combat Bow during solo runs, but there are other builds that work with it as well.
Charms can only be collected during the course of a run. Unlocking Ms. Boom will add it to the pool of Charms that spawn randomly as boss-defeat rewards or chest items; it will not be permanently added to the player’s inventory.
