To activate your copy of Mario Kart World included with the launch Nintendo Switch 2 bundle, you must follow a few steps as you set up your new Switch 2. First and foremost, link your main Nintendo Switch Online account to your Switch 2 during setup. Once you have completed setup and see the home screen, follow these steps to find the Mario Kart World download location:

  • Open up the Nintendo Switch Online app – the red button with two Joy-Cons and the word "online" on the far left of the bottom menu bar on the home page.
  • Select a user tied to the Nintendo Switch Online account you linked to your Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle

  • Scroll up once to select your Nintendo Switch Online profile and press A to open the sub-menu
  • In the membership page, select "Manage Account Settings" and wait for the Account Information screen to appear
  • Open up the Settings menu on the bottom of the left-side list, then scroll all the way to the bottom of the options

At the bottom of the Settings menu in your Account Information screen, if you purchased a Mario Kart World bundle Switch 2, you should see a section titled "Products Bundled With This System" with Mario Kart World as an option. Select "Download", then scroll down the following menu and select "Download" once more.

This will activate your Mario Kart World virtual game card and add it to your account – finally, simply let the game download in the background. As a more than 20 GB game, expect it to take a short while to download Mario Kart World.
