As the summer comes to a close, game companies like Microsoft are holding last minute sales in hopes of boosting their quarterly revenue before the end of the fiscal year. Activision Blizzard is another such company. It just announced the Battle.net Game Deals sale, offering huge discounts on games across its many franchises. The Game Deals sale is offering discounts ranging up to 67% off select titles, including Diablo, Starcraft, and Call of Duty. The sale won’t last long, however. It kicked off on August 30th, and only runs until September 5th.RELATED: Amazon Gaming Week Kicks Off With Big Deals and Discounts There are some gems hidden in this sale. Both Diablo 2: Resurrected and Diablo 3 are available for cheap, and Starcraft Remastered and Starcraft 2 can each be purchased for less than $10. Several Call of Duty titles are also heavily discounted: Vanguard is 50% off, while Modern Warfare, Black Ops, and Black Ops Cold War are all 67% off. Many of Activision Blizzard’s other products, like Crash Bandicoot 4 and its Arcade Collection, are also available at a discount.

This sale coincides with the announcement of the Wrath of the Lich King Classic Northrend Upgrades. These optional packs provide additional resources for players interested in playing World of Warcraft Classic’s newest expansion reboot, including a level boost, pet, toy, and mounts for both Classic and Retail WoW. Unfortunately, the Northrend Epic and Heroic Upgrades are not discounted during the Game Deals sale.

Few players can say no to a good video game sale. Players who have been considering getting into the discounted Activision Blizzard franchises now have a great opportunity to do so. Diablo 2: Resurrected is an especially good deal; $20 for a remake of a 20-year-old masterpiece is much more palatable than $40 for many fans. Likewise, Call of Duty games are notoriously expensive, and their prices are slow to drop, making this the perfect time to pick up one’s favorite entry in the series.

That said, a lot of fans are disappointed in the Battle.net Game Deals sale. There are a lot of franchises with no sales whatsoever. The Warcraft, Overwatch, and Hearthstone sections have no deals to speak of. Fans seeking to pick up Warcraft 3 Reforged have gone yet another year without the troubled title receiving a deal, and Hearthstone players only have an advertisement for Runestones in the card game's section. If players are lucky, Activision Blizzard will hear their dissatisfaction and offer more deals for the absent titles in a future sale.
