AFK Journey's Equipment enhances combat customization, offering an additional layer to the game. Players can maximize their Heroes' stats by unlocking and upgrading these gear items, which complement the buffs acquired through Resonance Hall upgrades.

Currently, there are five methods to obtain Equipment: AFK Progress, Ironhoof Forge (Holistone Store), rewards from Growth Path and Growth Trails, Weapon Selection Chests, and direct purchases at the Emporium stores. In AFK Journey, Equipment is additional buff gear. Each Class has the capacity to equip up to six pieces of Equipment, enhancing both their defensive and offensive stats. These pieces include Weapons, Gloves, Rings, Helmets, Armor, and Shoes (or Boots). The buffs received from these items complement the Hero Resonance Level enhancements.

How To Upgrade Equipment In AFK Journey

To access the upgrade menu for Equipment in the Resonance Hall, simply click on “Equipment” next to Artifacts. You'll be presented with a list of all Classes, each with six Equipment slots. The “Forge” button beneath these items indicates that you can upgrade them with Gold and Forging Stone.

The maximum level for Equipment upgrades is Level 240.

Forging Stone can be acquired through various means, including recycling low-level gear, looting chests, or collecting rewards from Growth Path & Growth Trials.

Forging Stone Types In AFK Journey

There are five types of Forging Stones in the game, each used to upgrade specific groups of Equipment based on their Level.

Forging Stone One: Upgrades Equipment from Level 1 to 60.
Forging Stone Two: Upgrades Equipment from Level 65 to 105
Forging Stone Three: Upgrades Equipment from Level 110 to 145
Forging Stone Four: Upgrades Equipment from Level 150 to 185
Forging Stone Five: Upgrades Equipment from Level 190 to 240

You cannot upgrade Equipment to a level that’s higher than your Resonance Level.

Equipment Upgrade Priority In AFK Journey

As a general rule, prioritize upgrading the equipment of your core Classes. For instance, if your teams focus on Marksman and Tank roles, prioritize upgrading their gear initially. There's no necessity to enhance the tools and weapons of all Classes simultaneously.

Additionally, focus on maximizing two to three pieces of equipment for each Class to avoid depleting your Forging Stones.

Priority Upgrades For Each Class In AFK Journey

The following table outlines which gear items should be prioritized for upgrade for each Class.

How To Unlock & Upgrade Exclusive Equipment

Upon Ascending a Hero to the Mythic Level, their Exclusive Weapon becomes accessible. This thematic tool aligns with the Hero's Exclusive Skill, granting them additional maneuvers on the battlefield. To upgrade Exclusive Weapons, you must gather Temporal Essences from Dream Realm rewards, Emporium shops, or the Trolley.
