What Are Factions In AFK Journey?
If you haven't played AFK Arena, a faction is a group of heroes you can summon in the game. AFK Journey has six factions, each with multiple heroes. These factions include:
- Lightbearers
- Maulers
- Wilders
- Graveborns
- Celestials
- Hypogeans
Each faction has its own heroes, and every hero has different qualities and strengths, so you can build a balanced team accordingly.
How To Get Faction Bonuses In AFK Journey
A Faction Bonus is a type of boost that you receive by choosing multiple heroes from a single faction. The more heroes from a faction you have, the greater the bonus. It ranges from 10 percent to 22 percent, depending on your team composition.
This bonus increases the Attack Power (ATK) and Health points (HP) of the crew.
To obtain the faction bonus, you can try one of the four methods detailed below. But before that, it’s important to remember that you can only summon up to five characters in a fight.
Three Heroes (10% Faction Bonus)
The first method is to include three heroes from the same faction in your team. For example, if you summon three Mauler heroes, like KoKo, Odie, and Antandra (or any available), you'll receive a 10% faction bonus.
Three + Two Heroes (14% Faction Bonus)
Another method is to use three heroes from one faction and two from a different faction, or you can include one Celestial or Hypogean hero instead. This combination gives you a 14% bonus.
Four Heroes (18% Faction Bonus)
The third method requires you to use four AFK heroes from one faction. For example, you can have four Lightbearers, Wilders, or Graveborns in your team. This setup will increase your bonus to 18%.
Five Heroes (22% Faction Bonus)
In this final method, you can get a massive 22% bonus to your team's ATK and HP. All you have to do is put five heroes from a single faction in your team. What’s even better, if you include any Celestial or Hypogean hero, you will get an extra 1% bonus.
