While players explore the nightmare terrain of Cauldron Lake in Alan Wake 2, they will have to solve puzzles, arrange clues, and solve mysteries to progress forward, all while fighting through the monster-infested landscape.
One of the first tasks in Alan Wake 2 will require players to find and install the Witch's Hut fuse. Installing the fuse will restore power to the hut and give players a safe space to rest between fighting off the Taken, ritual-summoned zombie monsters. After players return to Cauldron Lake and investigate the crime scene again, they will head back down towards the lake area by the Witches Ladle and acquire another book piece that will narrate the action of players finding and installing a fuse. After this voice-over plays, players can make their way to the Witch's Hut and begin the search for the fuse.
How to Find Witch's Hut Fuse in Alan Wake 2
Climb the ledge from near the General Store that leads up to the Witch's Hut area and follow the path to the hut. Players will find the location dark and abandoned and will need to search the area for a fuse in order to restore power and illuminate the area. Take the path to the left that leads over the narrow stone bridge - players will begin to find busted fuses, indicating they are headed in the right direction.
Players will eventually find a small campsite with some lawn chairs, a readable notebook, and a lunchbox scattered around. There is a makeshift shelter on the left with a red barrel underneath and a blue bin on top of the barrel - a useable fuse can be found inside this bin.
With the intact fuse in hand, head back towards the Witch's Hut and look along the outside wall of the hut for the fuse book. Interact with the fuse box and install the fuse - the hut will slowly groan to life as the lights inside turn on and power is restored. With the power on, the hut will become players' first Break Room, giving them an area to save their game progress, heal up, and take a break from the nightmares outside.
