How to Get and Use Dramatic Masks in Lethal Company
Masks do not have a specific spawn point in Lethal Company. They can be randomly found in any facility. There are two types of Dramatic Masks, namely the Comedy Mask and the Tragedy Mask. Players can find either one of these seemingly harmless masks on their usual scrap runs.
Once players find a Mask, they can pick it up and wear it by holding down the left mouse button.
Each time a player chooses to wear the mask, there is a 65% chance that they will die and turn into a Masked enemy. Even simply holding the mask in hand for a prolonged period of time will allow players to become possessed by it. Sometimes, it takes as little as two seconds for a Dramatic Mask to possess the player.
Tragedy masks turn into Comedy masks when possessing the player.
The Masked are dangerous entities that “mimic” players. As soon as a Masked spots a player, they will stalk and hunt them down relentlessly. This entity targets players individually, ignoring everyone else until they have successfully chased down a certain player.
The targeted player will instantly die when coming into physical contact with a Masked. They will also turn into a Masked and start chasing other players. Masked entities can only communicate by laughing or crying, depending on which mask the player had worn.
How to Survive a Masked Attack
To escape a Masked, players need to create enough distance and break the line of sight. Doing so ends their pursuit and the player gets to live. Additionally, players can fight back and interrupt a Masked attack by hitting the entity with a shovel, stop sign, or zap gun. Unaffected players can freely attack the Masked entity, as long as the targeted player stays close to them.
If the majority of the crew has been possessed and turned into Masked entities, it is highly recommended that the player evacuates the moon.
