To get right into it, Wild Zone 2 of Pokemon Legends: Z-A has six Pokemon for trainers to find and catch. You can find five of the Pokemon during the day, but the sixth one that'll trip players up is Staryu, as it can only be seen during the nighttime, based on our experience.
In this guide, we'll show you the locations for every Pokemon in Wild Zone 2 and how to pass the time in Pokemon Legends: Z-A to get
Staryu to show up.

All Wild Zone 2 Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Z-A & Where to Find Them
Kakuna Location
We managed to find a
Kakuna on the side of a tree on the west side of the Zone (underneath the northwestern gate).
You can evolve Kakuna into a
Beedrill at level 10.
Patrat Location
You can actually find
Patrat in the middle of the Zone on the cliffs (the one we found fell to our level while attacking), or just take the bridge to the northeast and then turn right to find more.
Binacle Location
We managed to find
Binacle on the grassy area right in the middle of the Wild Zone where the bridges meet.
Staryu Location (& How to Change Time of Day)
To get
Staryu in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, you will need to visit Wild Zone 2 during the night. From our understanding, you won't be able to manually change the time of day until you clear the three side quests and complete the fifth main story quest.
After that, you can interact with any of the benches around the city and choose to spend time there until nightfall. You can also use the benches to change from night to day. You can find some near the northwestern gate of the Wild Zone. You can actually find Staryu right in the water if you head through the same gate into Wild Zone 2.
Some Pokemon are only found during certain times of the day, so make sure to explore Wild Zones day and night to find any missing Pokedex entries.
Magikarp Location
There's a bunch of
Magikarp swimming around the rivers of the Wild Zone. You should have no issues catching this Water-type Pokemon (remember: it evolves to
Gyarados at level 20).
Budew Location
You can find the Grass/Poison-type Pokemon,
Budew, by the bridge near the southern gate. You can use the nearby grass to hide (crouch by pressing down on the left stick), and then throw a Poke Ball while the Pokemon is distracted.
