There are quite a few things to do on Kairos, but while players can do most of those things at any time they want, World Events in Borderlands 4 require a bit more luck. These events can be very rewarding, but only if players know where to go, what to do, and when to get there.
There are three major world events in Borderlands 4, and they're good sources for Cash, Eridium, all manners of weapons and items. Here's what you need to know about each of these events.
All Vault Hunter Cosmetics & How to Unlock Them in Borderlands 4
Here's a full list and look at all Vault Hunter cosmetics players can get in Borderlands 4, along with how players can unlock them.
Order Airship Event
In this event, an Order Airship will arrive at the Flarewell in the Fadefields, and players will need to destroy as much Order property as possible (this includes Order troops). The more destruction you cause, the more rewards you'll get. Just keep in mind that Order troops mainly have Shields and Armor. Use the right elemental damage types in Borderlands 4 so you can meet the destruction quota more quickly.
During Airship events, you'll be able to board multiple Order ships hovering over the event area. Step inside their tractor beams, then you'll get sucked inside the ship. From here, blast everything in your way, and do your best to complete side objectives within each ship to make significant progress toward your goal. Side objectives include:
- Breaking into a ship's armory
- Activating a ship's self-destruct sequence
- Release (and defeat) Badass prisoners.
Airship events (or just World Events in general) reward plenty of Eridium as well as loot. If one of them pops up on the map, consider sparing some time to get them done.
If you're not sure how to do Airship event side objectives, look around the inside the ships for buttons, doors, running wires, and things that look like they'll break when shot at.
The Goredello Event
The Goredello event takes place in the eponymous Goredello, a gladiatorial combat arena in Terminus Range that occasionally opens up to players. When the event is active, you can enter the arena and speak with Harold in the middle to start the show.
In this event, all you need to do is defeat as many enemies as possible before the timer expires. There will be some challenges for each wave that, when finished, will grant you extra time in case you run out without meeting the kill quota. These challenges are fairly simple, from defeating enemies with melee hits or using barrels to take targets out.
The Goredello lasts for several rounds, and if you reach Platinum rank for each of them, you'll get a big shower of loot at the end of each round. Complete them all for a worthwhile reward.
Creep Impact
Creep Impact is another combat-heavy event that takes place in Carcadia Burn. Here, players will face off against hordes upon hordes of Creeps. Speak with Gennifer in her little bunker to start the encounter.
Your goal here is to find ammo for Patootie, Gennifer's cannon, so she can shoot at meteors falling onto Kairos. To do that, you need to find and load space ore into an ore grinder powering Patootie. The ore will drop from the many Creeps that will spawn in the event area, so grab your best guns and get to shooting.
Basically, shoot Creeps, get ore, and toss ore into Patootie. Repeat this as many times as necessary until you fail the event timer, or you get the max-level rewards. At the end of the event, you'll be able to open chests in front of Gennifer's bunker, and you get to take home whatever the Creeps drop too. Make sure to bring a build that's great at mobbing to get the most out of events like these.
