Amazon Prime Gaming will be giving away Baldur’s Gate 2: Enhanced Edition and over 20 other games to its subscribers over the course of August 2024. Amazon Prime members can already claim the first of those freebies starting today, August 1.
Among other benefits, Amazon's subscription service typically gives away between five and ten games each month. But every once in a while, those monthly freebies end up being much more numerous thanks to some special promotions. E.g., Amazon Prime subscribers were able to claim 21 free games throughout July 2024, largely on account of Prime Day 2024 celebrations.

The Epic Games Store gives users a surprise bonus freebie while confirming everything that will be free next week.
That trend is now set to continue, as Amazon just revealed 23 more games that its subscribers will be able to claim at no extra cost throughout August 2024. The first batch of these complimentary titles includes Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, SteamWorld Heist, and three classic Tomb Raider games: The Last Revelation, Chronicles, and The Angel of Darkness. All five can already be claimed via GOG. The Last Revelation and Chronicles are redeemable via a single GOG code on account of technically being a two-pack.

Five more freebies are set to follow next Thursday, August 8, when Amazon Prime Gaming members will be able to claim the critically acclaimed adventure game South of the Circle and complex roguelike Loop Hero. Flying Wild Hog's action side-scroller Trek to Yomi will also be part of this second wave of August 2024 freebies, together with Domesticated Ant's 2D platformer Gravity Circuit and Happy Broccoli's wacky adventure Kraken Academy.
The highlight of the next batch of freebies, scheduled for August 15, is the much-refined Enhanced Edition of Baldur's Gate 2. Dystopian political sim Beholder 3 will also become claimable on that date, together with a much less grim experience in the form of the action game En Garde. Wild West-themed turn-based strategy Hard West 2 and the self-explanatory Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical will round off the list of Amazon Prime Gaming's mid-August 2024 freebies.
Another batch of games is then planned to become available on the 22nd, when Amazon's subscribers will be able to claim roguelite adventure Spells and Secrets, co-op postal puzzler KeyWe, and action adventure Figment 2: Creed Valley. Ditto for metroidvania Grime: Definitive Edition and Young Souls, which is a distinct-looking beat-em-up with split-screen co-op. Arcade management sim Arcade Paradise and hand-drawn puzzler The Collage Atlas will then become available to grab on August 29, together with a Cold War-era first-person shooter called Industria.
