Amazon Prime Gaming is giving away over two dozen games over the course of October 2024. Nearly half of them are already available for Amazon Prime subscribers to claim as of today, October 10.
The number of free games that Prime members can grab every month tends to vary quite a bit. But the volume of these monthly freebies has recently been increasing, as underlined by the fact that Amazon Prime gave away 23 titles in August, followed by another 28 in September 2024.

Amazon Prime Giving Away 28 Games in October 2024
28 more games will be given away to Amazon Prime members throughout this month. As per usual, the October 2024 freebies will roll out in four stages, each of which will launch on a Thursday. This means that the first batch is already available to claim starting today. This group comprises 12 titles, including some high-profile names such as Doom Eternal and BioShock Remastered. Tomb Raider: Legend, the seventh mainline installment in the iconic series starring Lara Croft, is also part of the October 10 wave of Prime Gaming freebies. Ditto for Priest Simulator: Vampire Show, a "mockumental" early access action game that is just as bizarre as its moniker suggests.

Five more titles are then set to be offered to Amazon Prime subscribers on October 17. The biggest name from this group is Killing Floor 2, Tripwire Interactive's 2016 hit that's still widely regarded as one of the best four-player co-op horror games ever made. Its cult status is underlined by the fact that Killing Floor 2 presently boasts over 81,000 "Very Positive" user reviews on Steam.
Amazon Prime members will be able to claim another half a dozen games on October 24. This will be another motley group of titles, with one of its highlights being The Gunk, a satisfying sci-fi action adventure that tasks players with exploring and restoring an alien planet. Spooky platformer Pumpkin Jack is also going to be part of this batch of freebies, with Amazon giving it away just in time for Halloween.
Another handful of games will be given away to Prime subscribers on Halloween itself. The standout title from this October 31 wave of games will be the critically acclaimed action adventure A Plague Tale: Innocence, made by the Bordeaux-based Asobo Studio. Amazon's subscribers interested in more lighthearted entertainment on Halloween will also be able to claim Pokemon-like monster-taming game Coromon starting from October 31. Apart from these two, the final wave of Prime Gaming October 2024 freebies will include action adventure Death's Door, body horror game Scorn, and the collector's edition of hidden object puzzle adventure Haunted Hotel: Personal Nightmare.
