World of Warcraft is giving away another rare mount for free via Amazon Prime Gaming. This exclusive mount was originally only available through the discontinued World of Warcraft TCG, but can now be earned by all players for the first time in years.

Prime Gaming is a special perk that fans with Amazon Prime can benefit from. As long as they have a subscription to Amazon Prime, they can redeem special rewards for certain games, and even unlock access to certain games for free.

Now, players with Amazon Prime can unlock the Big Battle Bear mount in World of Warcraft for free. This mount was originally redeemed from a code found on the Red Baron card from the 2008 WoW TCG set Drums of War, which sells for upwards of $400. From now until April 27, players can unlock this mount with the click of a button if they have Amazon Prime and link it with their Blizzard account. The Big Battle Bear can be redeemed even on Free Trials of Amazon Prime, so players can pick it up even without a subscription.

This is not the first TCG-exclusive card World of Warcraft has offered as free loot recently. It gave away the Perpetual Purple Fireworks and Goblin Weather Machine toys, the Dragon Kite pet, and Feldrake mount via Twitch Drops in the past. One such Twitch Drop campaign is actually ongoing–through April 2, World of Warcraft players can unlock the D.I.S.C.O. Toy, another TCG-exclusive toy, by watching four hours of WoW streaming on Twitch.

Many players have loved World of Warcraft’s recent habit of offering TCG-exclusive items through other means. The World of Warcraft Trading Card Game has been out of print for 10 years, so most of the items can only be earned by spending hundreds of dollars on dwindling reserves of unredeemed codes. With the current trend, many fans are hoping World of Warcraft will offer rare mounts like the Swift Spectral Tiger–the most expensive and sought-after TCG exclusive item–in the future.

Of course, some players who have already collected these items in the past, or who make money by selling unredeemed codes, are upset World of Warcraft is offering these TCG exclusives for free. Some think offering them for free cheapens their value, and makes those who purchased them feel cheated. Nevertheless, it seems like World of Warcraft is going to keep offering these TCG exclusives, so fans should expect the trend to continue over time.

World of Warcraft is available now for PC.
