The cast list of Amazon's upcoming video game-based anthology series Secret Level has been leaked online, and includes a number of A-list Hollywood stars. An animated series led by Tim Miller and Blur Studio, each Secret Level episode will tell a one-off story set in a major video game universe. Franchises like Mega Man, Armored Core, The Outer Worlds, Warhammer 40,000, and more will be involved. The series recently got an emotional reveal by Miller on the Gamescom Opening Night Live stage, and it's due to hit Amazon Prime on December 10.
Recent years have seen better results for video games being adapted to movies and TV shows. Last year, HBO's award-winning The Last of Us series brought the dark, gritty world known by fans of the PlayStation games to the masses and achieved critical acclaim in doing so; its second season is set to come in 2025. Earlier this year, Amazon's Fallout show joined The Last of Us as two of the greatest video game adaptations ever. The buzz surrounding Fallout caused a big boom of players returning to beloved games in Bethesda's RPG franchise, like Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and New Vegas. On the movie side of the coin, the Sonic the Hedgehog films have seen the most praise, with a third movie on the way this December.
Opinion: The Amazon Secret Level Concord Episode Should Be Dropped
Now that Concord has officially been taken offline and off store shelves, barely a week after its launch, the upcoming video game anthology series Secret Level from Amazon is still set to air an episode featuring characters and stories from Concord. It makes sense to go ahead with the episode if it's basically already finished. But being an episode that portrays a completely dead game, it's going to feel very out of place amongst other episodes about some of gaming's giants.
It seems fans awaiting the release of Secret Level on Amazon can get a glimpse of the series' cast list early, as it's been leaked onto the internet by way of a trailer that's since been removed. Giant names like Keanu Reeves, Arnold Schwarzenegger, his son Patrick Schwarzenegger, Kevin Hart, Barbie's Ariana Greenblatt, and The Boys' Claudia Doumit flood the cast list. Hart and Greenblatt were both recently part of another video game adaptation, the Borderlands movie, which was received less than favorably.

It's unclear whether this is the whole cast of Secret Level, though seeing that there are more than 15 video game franchises attached to the series, there's likely more talent involved. It'll be interesting to see which games these actors will be attached to in Secret Level. It wouldn't be hard to imagine Arnold Schwarzenegger lending his voice to a Warhammer 40K Space Marine, or Kevin Hart and Ariana Greenblatt teaming up once again in a goofy Dungeons and Dragons adventure. If one thing's for certain, it's that Keanu Reeves is about to have a big December in video games, as aside from his unknown role in Secret Level, Reeves is the voice behind Shadow in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie.
Secret Level is coming to Amazon Prime Video on December 10. The anthology series will be part of a huge few weeks for video games, as it's preceded by the release of Marvel Rivals and Xbox's Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on the 6th, and will be followed by The Game Awards on December 12, with Sonic the Hedgehog 3 coming a bit later, on December 20.
Prime Video is Amazon's streaming service that began as Amazon Unbox back in September 2006. The streaming service has gone through many rebrandings over the year but has managed to successfully compete with other streamers such as Netflix, Max, and Disney+. Some of their most notable titles include The Boys, Carnival Row, and Sound of Metal.
