Update 6/27: There is a limited supply of Amazon coupons for some of the items included in this sale, and the discount will no longer be available when the game's coupons have been exhausted. Original story follows.
Currently, a new Target video game sale is offering players 30% off on hundreds of titles for PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One, but there is a catch: these discounted orders must be picked up at a physical Target location. Not to be outdone, an Amazon video game sale is now offering a number of the titles included in Target's sale at the same price, and players do not even need to go collect their orders to reap the benefits from Amazon.
The method by which this new Amazon video game sale is being implemented is varied. Indeed, some of the discounted games show their reduced price reflected directly, while others require players to click a coupon box, which can be found directly below the item's price, before the discount is applied at checkout. There are even some games that will simply receive a discount at checkout without requiring fans to select a coupon at all.
With respect to determining all of the games that are available through this new Amazon video game sale, using the full list of games included in Target's sale is a good way to start. While not absolutely every title from the Target video game sale is included in Amazon's, players will discover that quite a number of them are.
More specifically, fans will find that some of the hottest games of 2019 are part of this Amazon video game sale. This includes Devil May Cry 5, The Division 2, Kingdom Hearts 3, Resident Evil 2, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, to name just a few. Also, as was the case with the Target sale, Amazon has Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled, which released just last week, for $28, though this price only seems to apply to the Switch version of the game.
Additionally, the Amazon sale extends far beyond these extremely new titles, as players can also take home hit games like God of War, Marvel's Spider-Man, and Monster Hunter World at a discount as well. One area where Amazon's sale falls short of Target's is Switch exclusives, but the sale may make up for this shortcoming in its convenience.
