The life simulator Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which was released on the Nintendo Switch back in 2020, is known for offering its players massive amounts of freedom when it comes to designing their islands. Many have used the game as a creative outlet, pouring countless hours into creating impressive rooms and townscapes that utilize Animal Crossing: New Horizons' customizable objects. One such player was seemingly swept up in the holiday spirit as they ended up creating a Christmas market on their island.
In a recent post on the Animal Crossing: New Horizons' subReddit, dollisbaby shared a photo of her vintage Christmas market that used rustic tones of brown, gold, green, and red. In addition to Christmas trees, candles, gift boxes, and wreaths, the market featured lanterns, snow globes, wooden furniture, and even a bunny-shaped snowman, among other things, to further highlight the area's festive theme. Community members praised the work, with many describing dollisbaby's custom town as being beautiful and pretty. Some even asked for the items as well as the custom Animal Crossing: New Horizons design codes that were used to decorate the market.
While dollisbaby revealed one piece of furniture they used, they have not shared anything else as of writing. Fortunately, they were not the only one who was recently inspired to design and share a holiday-themed island. Another Animal Crossing: New Horizons player created a winter wonderland neighborhood that featured Christmas decorations, furniture made out of ice, and lots of snow. This player, Reddit user KMK33133, also received warm compliments from the Animal Crossing community much like dollisbaby and even shared the custom codes that they used for their project.
In addition to decorating their islands, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players can do all sorts of activities in December to celebrate the holidays. From watching the Aurora Borealis during the game's Winter Solstice event to simply relaxing at The Roost cafe, there's bound to be something that players will find enjoyable to do for Christmas and the New Year.
Of course, winter is not the only season in the game, and there are other things to look forward to in the spring, summer, and autumn. Among these are the special Animal Crossing: New Horizons seasonal furniture sets that can only be acquired during specific dates. Even though Animal Crossing: New Horizons has stopped receiving official updates, fans continue to play the game because of the many fun experiences it offers.
