An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player has completely stuffed their home and island with turnips. The stunning effort has shocked other Animal Crossing: New Horizons players, with many speculating regarding the profit the player could potentially net from doing this.

There are plenty of ways to make money in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but if done correctly, buying and selling turnips is one of the most profitable ways to do it. The goal is to buy turnips at a low price and then sell them at a higher one. However, the reality can be trickier, as players can get stuck with a bad sale price, potentially costing them money, or worse yet, rotten turnips that are utterly worthless.

Blatant Animal Crossing Copy Appears on PlayStation Store

An upcoming indie game that recently emerged on the PlayStation Store looks like a pretty blatant ripoff of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Now, Reddit user Gabe563 has shown off the wild collection of turnips they've got sitting on their island. Most players who have participated in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons turnip market will likely recognize the effort level put into the first few pictures, as filling one's home with turnips while waiting to sell them is a common practice. However, the remainder of the slideshow shows that the player's island has been utterly packed with turnips, with every inch of ground shown covered in them. With each visible turnip actually standing in for a stack of 100 turnips, the sheer number of turnips collected is stunning.

Animal Crossing Fans Consider Profit and Tragedy

Many fans have shared how impressed they are at the player's efforts, but many seem to be almost disturbed by the sheer number of them. Several wondered at the amount of Bells spent to purchase the turnips and how many Gabe563 had. Gabe563 estimates that they've spent around 13 million Bells on the effort, and estimate that they have 1,337 stacks, for a grand total of 133,700 turnips. At roughly 100 per turnip, there's a definite chance for profit, but the player will likely need to utilize turnip buying and selling communities to find Animal Crossing: New Horizons player islands with high prices to unload the huge supply of turnips in time.

One player joked that Gabe563 could become Animal Crossing: New Horizons' first trillionaire. While they don't have enough turnips to pull that off all in one sale, they could still get an incredible number of Bells. If they were successful in selling every single one of these turnips at maximum price, they'd finish with nearly 87 million Bells from the effort, for a 74 million Bell profit. It will be interesting to see what the player's final Bell count when everything is said and done, which Gabe563 has said they will share with the community once they've completed the effort.
