With nearly 400 total villagers spanning the Animal Crossing series, it's incredibly difficult to pick a favorite. From the creepy yet adorable Animal Crossing Stitches to the suave and sassy Raymond, there is a villager for everyone. One of the most popular horse villagers is the unicorn, Julian.
Animal Crossing Julian's Personality
Julian is one of just 17 horse villagers in the Animal Crossing series. Julian is a smug villager, obsessed with fashion, singing, being a diva, and galaxy patterns on clothing and interior decorations. Julian is a pale green-blue horse with a white horn in the middle of his head, making him the only unicorn in the series. Julian loves music and is considered a Tier A villager in Animal Crossing by fans.
As a smug villager, Julian gets along with other villagers very well. He is gentleman-like and polite when he's not going on about how cool he is or how fashionable a clothing item might be. Overall, Julian makes for a great neighbor for just about any kind of villager but may have some conflicting opinions to cranky neighbors, such as Animal Crossing's Apollo.
Julian's History in Animal Crossing
Julian, not to be confused with Julia the bird villager, has been in several Animal Crossing titles. He appeared in New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, Pocket Camp, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons. In each of these games, Julian's home and style are distinguished by being covered in stars, milky ways, and other galactic patterns. In Pocket Camp, he even gifts a starry t-shirt to the player who starts to build a solid relationship with him in the game.
Julian's Birthday and More
Julian was born on March 15th, making him a Pisces. His favorite song is Space K.K. Or K.K. Ballad, and his Animal Crossing villager number is 173. In the Japanese version of Animal Crossing, Julian is known as "Julia," spelled ジュリ (Juri). This may be a nod to Julian's feminine appearance, or may weirdly enough be a reference to Julius Caesar's family name, as some believe Julian is loosely based on the ancient Roman Emperor.
Julian's beginning catchphrase is "glitter," and he is a very talented speed reader. He says that he is both "wild and free-spirited," which he says is because of the horn on his head which singled him out and made him into quite the oddball. While Julian's eyes are usually closed by his pink-painted eyelids, his eyes have no pupils or color and are a solid white.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available for Nintendo Switch.
