The holiday season may be over, but an Animal Crossing: New Horizons player decided to take advantage of the in-game snow to make an adorable Snowboy band. Around winter time in the Northern Hemisphere, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players will see their island covered in snow, which would allow them to build cozy spots and get presents on Christmas Eve.

Introduced in the very first Animal Crossing game in 2001, Snowboys are essentially sentient snowmen made up of two snowballs with black dots for their eyes and mouth, and a red triangular nose. Players can create them differently by making their heads and bodies different sizes, but creating the perfect Snowboy will get them a unique DIY and Large Snowflake. Plus, not only will their Snowboys express their gratefulness that they were created, they will often brag about their well-crafted figure. The only caveat to building these snowfolk is that they melt over time.

Apart from decorating outdoor spaces, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players like WolfyWardark found creative ways to utilize their Snowboys, such as an adorable band complete with instruments. In a 15-second clip, the player showed their avatar, who was wearing an all-white outfit with a snowperson hat and shaking their maracas while dancing, performing a rock tune with "The Snow Drifters" featuring Snowboys of varying sizes. They also wrote in the caption that this was likely their first and last tour before the Snowboys "melt away into musical history."

Many Animal Crossing players seemed to love the Snowboy band, calling the execution "cute" and "awesome." Some also made clever snow-themed band names, such as Snowboyz II Men, Backstreet Snowboys, Sled Zeppelin, and of course, Snow Patrol. Meanwhile, other players seemed concerned about WolfyWardark's avatar dancing in the snow without any shoes, telling them to wear shoes before they lose their toes.

Winter in Animal Crossing: New Horizons will end on February 24th in the Northern Hemisphere, so players still have time to build their own Snowboys. They just have to make sure there are no insects ruining their Snowboy creation.

This is just one of the many ways players express their creativity through Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Recently, players shared a ramen spot and floating Japanese village they built, as well as an Animal Crossing version of Kratos from God of War. One of the great things about this game is how players can easily share their customization assets, so others could have cool outfits and furniture in their islands too.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now for Nintendo Switch.
