Since this is a decision that will accompany players through some hours of their lives, it is important that they make the right choice according to their preferences. The guide below tells players what they need to know about choosing between Marcia and Marcus in Anno 117: Pax Romana's story mode.

Should You Choose Marcus or Marcia in Anno 117: Pax Romana?

Differences Between Marcus and Marcia

Marcus and Marcia are brother and sister, but each of them has their own path to follow. Choosing between the two siblings at the start of Anno 117: Pax Romana isn't only a question of cosmetics; it gives players access to a different storyline. While players can definitely play through each story, the first path that they choose will likely be the most memorable, as it will be their first experience with the game.

Marcus and Marcia's stories do not happen in the same universe. This means that if players pick Marcus, Marcia will still be sent off to get married, but her husband won't be at Villa Augusta while she governs Juliana - Marcus will be the one managing the island instead. The story that players are presented is different, but many of the same events will still take place. For example, they will still have to attend Julia's birthday party and help her fetch Diana.

Both characters will start off their role in Latium and eventually make their way to Albion. They will go from a Roman province, where they feel somewhat at home after leaving the land of the Pyramids, to Albion, where there is an ongoing dispute between the Roman and Celtic people.

Ultimately, players should pick the storyline that intrigues them the most or opt for the sibling with the most appealing background and personality.

Description

The third Marcia born to the wealthy household at Naukratia is a quiet and observant young woman. Like most girls her age, Marcia is expected to marry, though being of patrician birth, she has little to say in the matter. Soon, she must leave home behind to join her future husband, a Roman governor. Little does she know what part she will have to play.

After a childhood spent clambering all over Naukratia, Marcus, the tyrant's youngest, had to be hooked from the streets to attend his lessons. Tired of his son's antics, Decimus put him to work in the imperial granaries, counting beans. Nothing, however, could have prepared Marcus for an unexpected summons that was to change his life.
