A new Apex Legends leak suggests that Ballistic, AKA Caliber, could be the next legend introduced in the game. Speculation about the new character indicates that he may be the son of Kuben Blisk, the main villain of the Titanfall series, who also appeared in Apex Legends previously.

Apex Legends Season 16 brought several improvements to the game, such as a brand-new assault rifle, diverse skins, music packs, and more. However, no new legend was introduced in the update, which was unusual for Apex Legends. Despite this, soon after the release of its 16th season, Apex Legends hit a record player count on Steam.

Ballistic, also referred to by the codename of Caliber, is possibly the next legend to be introduced in Apex Legends Season 17. According to the YoutTbe content creator Bobz’s latest video, who carefully studied a new leak, several audio files from Mirage, Gibraltar, and others are pointing out the existence of this new character. The audio, which can be seen in the video, mentions the name Ballistic in a conversation between the characters. Gibraltar, for instance, seems to recognize the name and affirms that it brings back memories from his Thunderdrome days, which suggests some connection between the characters.

The new legend will be possibly related to Kuben Blisk, a Titanfall character that also appeared as a Syndicate mercenary in Apex Legends and currently holds the title of Ballistic. He competed in the Thunderdrome, and some of the audio seems to indicate that this son may be taking up his mantle. In one of the leaked audios, Mirage talks about how hard it could be for the character to be “competing with his dad’s legacy” when talking about the upcoming legend.

As a new season approaches, Respawn Entertainment’s franchise has become so famous that it’s already planning the long game. Respawn recently talked about the future of the franchise, affirming that it had plans for 10 to 15 years of content, keeping the battle royale alive for the foreseeable future. The answer from the Apex Legends community, however, was mixed. While some people were fairly hyped for the promise of long-term support, others complained about several issues that plague the game right now, such as its matchmaking system and latency issues.

Apex Legends is currently available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
