It's that time of the year when all music apps will give users a chance to reflect upon their listening habits over the year, and all three music giants, Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube Music, have dropped their Replays, Unwrapped, and Rewinds simultaneously.
While the internet always stands divided about these insights, users are often intrigued to view how their music tastes evolved over the year and share it among their friends on social media. Not to forget, the total listening time is also a crucial metric that can be used to check listening habits. For those who use Apple Music as their go-to music-listening app, here is how they can see their statistics for 2023.
PS5 Deal Gets You 6 Months of Apple Music for Free
Following the third anniversary of the PS5, some users have a limited time to claim six months of Apple Music for free, but the deal has some caveats.
How To View Apple Music Replay 2023
Since Apple Music Replay just rolled out, users should be able to see the prompt to view their Replay directly when they open the app on any of their devices. Users should try to update the device to the latest software if the prompt is not visible. However, if that doesn't work, which has been reported by a few users, there is a way to manually check Apple Music Replay. Here are the steps users need to follow for that:
- Head to replay.music.apple.com or tap the Go to the site option on the Music app in the Replay section.
- Users will be redirected to the Replay page of Apple Music, where they will get a prompt to login with their Apple ID.
- It is crucial to ensure that users login with the same ID they use for Apple Music.
- If prompted, users will need to verify their account with two-factor authentication. The passcode can be received on any Apple device with the same account logged in.
- Once logged in, the Replay page will update with the highlights of the user's listening history.
There are two parts to the Music Replay; the first part gives an overview of the music history in the form of an animated infographic. This can be accessed using the Highlight Reel button, while the second part can be viewed by scrolling down. Users will see their top artists, songs, albums, genres, and other milestones here. Finally, the Replay 2023 Album can also be accessed from here, a playlist of the top songs.
How To Share Apple Music Replay 2023
The option to share the Apple Music Replay is only available when accessing the website using a mobile device. The highlight reel and the infographics can be shared using the share button on the bottom right corner. Once clicked, users will get the prompt to share it on their social media profiles, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Whatsapp, Tiktok, and Snapchat.
How To Fix Apple Music Replay 2023 Not Loading Issue
Just like every year, a number of users are unable to access their Replay because it simply doesn't load. While it could be an annoying issue, the fix is straightforward. During the initial few hours of launch, it does take a bit for the Replay to load for users, so using a different browser or trying again after a while is recommended. However, the issue could be more deep-rooted if it still doesn't load.
For Apple Music to be able to generate the Replay, it should track the user's listening history. So if that option is turned off, the Replay will not be available. Users can turn this on by going to Settings, Music on their iPhone, and "Use Listening History." The same can be accessed on Mac by opening the Music app and then selecting Settings in the Music menu under the General tab. If it still doesn't show up, the user hasn't used Apple Music enough to generate a Replay.
