The most recent update for ARC Raiders is live, and although patch 1.1.0 appears to be a standard maintenance update on the surface, something much more interesting lies beneath the bug fixes and quality-of-life adjustments. Beyond fixes to exploits, achievements, and abilities that weren’t triggering correctly, the update also shifts when some new map conditions will appear. For players keeping up with ARC Raiders, the new map conditions seem like a very compelling reason to log back in and continue building out their stash.

The majority of patch 1.1.0 is straightforward, with skills such as Health Regen and Integrated Shield Recharger now functioning as intended. Deployables can’t push players through walls anymore, and the Punch Hands emote from the pre-order editions has finally been added in-game. What’s genuinely new, though, is how the update rearranges the schedule for map conditions, bringing the Hidden Bunker event into the rotation on November 8. That includes the Night Raid on Blue Gate, the Electromagnetic Storm, and most notably, the Hidden Bunker.

The Hidden Bunker Offers a New Way to Play Spaceport

Arc Raiders 1.1.0 Update brings bug fixes, map conditions, and a new activity

Specific to the Spaceport map, the Hidden Bunker event will add four antenna dishes scattered around the map. Each antenna needs to be activated, and doing so will trigger waves of Wasps and Hornets that have to be dealt with. Once all the ARCs are dispatched and all four antennas are powered up, a bunker door (that's apparently been there the whole time) will open for every player on the map, hopefully revealing valuable loot inside.

Players should be warned, though, as unlocking the bunker looks like it'll be a risky endeavor. The antennas are separate from the bunker itself, so those trying to trigger the event could find that others might reach the loot before they do. If that ends up being possible, the Hidden Bunker could turn into one of the game’s most tense PVP encounters in ARC Raiders.

Early community responses to the patch on Reddit have already suggested that players might use the antennas to their advantage by waiting near the bunker and letting others handle the heavy lifting.

Like the Harvester, the Hidden Bunker Is Another Raid Level Event

How to Loot and Complete Harvester Puzzle ARC Raiders

ARC Raiders already leans on dynamic map conditions to keep its world interesting, but the Hidden Bunker introduces a more tangible community goal that aligns more closely with the Harvester event than anything else. Loot modifiers or environmental hazards are always welcome, but a shared objective can alter the entire objective of a round. It'll be interesting to watch players make choices about whether to pursue the antennas, camp the bunker, or simply keep their heads down and focus on survival.

The event’s design leverages ARC Raiders’ strengths as an extraction shooter, as the tension between cooperation and competition is what really drives the game's success. Just as the Harvester and the Queen event does, the Hidden Bunker event has the potential to change how people play on the map. Another impactful event like that is pretty impressive, considering how fresh the game still is.

Arc Raiders’ Smarter Update Cycle

Beyond the bug fixes and the new events, moving new map conditions to Saturdays is a welcome, genuinely thoughtful change. Instead of randomizing when they appear or attaching them to larger seasonal events, Embark seems to be creating a predictable schedule. That rhythm encourages players to check back in regularly without demanding daily play.

It also makes sense for events like Hidden Bunker and the Electromagnetic Storm to come out when more players are online, as that is when they’d work best. A fixed weekend slot helps concentrate activity, giving the event a natural momentum without the need for extra rewards or limited-time bonuses. It’s not a huge change, but it goes a long way to make ARC Raiders feel alive through player behavior, rather than some form of forced engagement.

It's definitely a modest addition when compared to the major content updates coming to ARC Raiders in the near future, but all in all, the patch is likely one of the more meaningful updates to the game so far. The Hidden Bunker, in particular, could become a highlight of weekend sessions once it goes live on November 8. I know I'm looking forward to doing a bit of door camping.
