How to Unlock Stella Montis Map in ARC Raiders

ARC Raiders has surprised its community with its first community event, called Breaking New Grounds. Those participating in this limited-time event will be able to gain access to the new Map Stella Montis, and to a wide array of rewards that can be purchased with the new Merit currency.

This guide offers all the information players need to know about the event, its rewards, and how to unlock the Stella Montis map in ARC Raiders.

How To Unlock Stella Montis in ARC Raiders

To unlock the new Stella Montis map in ARC Raiders, players need to participate in the Breaking New Grounds Community Live Event, hosted by Apollo, who will ask players all across the community to gather resources for a huge excavation process.

Once players log in for the first time, they will be prompted to participate in the Breaking New Grounds event, which consists of two Phases of an Excavation Project. The first Phase will have them donate any of the basic resources to get enough Merit (Contribution) to unlock the next Phase. Here's the summary:

Players can donate 5 Resources in exchange for Merits
Merits accumulate up to 900 and can later be traded for rewards
Players can donate Metal Parts, Plastic Parts, Fabrics, Rubber Parts, or Chemicals.
Every amount donated after reaching 900 will contribute to the global Goal (Phase 1) but will not provide any extra rewards.

To access the Event Screen and check the progress, players can enter the Live Event tab on the main menu or click on 'More Information' by hovering over the Stella Montis node in the Rust Belt Map. Players will also be asked to participate in five rounds (deploy five times and extract) to be considered for the next phase, though this was only mentioned on the official Page of the Event.

Once Phase 1 is completed, Stella Montis will unlock, and this will trigger Phase II, “Staking Our Claim,” a new progression bound event that will record 'personal contribution' instead of global effort. Players will be able to earn various rewards (probably cosmetics), though the specifics are not yet revealed.

As this is a Live Event, some phases of the Breaking New Grounds excavation are still locked. As such, this article will be updated with new information as the event progresses.

The global event will reveal the next Step Soon, and once players reach 100% contribution globally, Phase II of Breaking New Grounds will be activated. Players can easily get the materials needed to contribute to the event by visiting Scrappy in the Workshop.

For what we know about Stella Montis so far, the entire map is a mountain range base that preserves part of the technology used in the Exodus, the Pre-Collapse event where some members of the elite fled to the stars to avoid being destroyed by the catastrophic climate event that ravaged Earth.

After that, ARC Enemies started to pop up on the surface in what was later known as The First Wave. Players are now part of the story world during the Second Wave, so new ARC Enemies are bound to appear with the new map. Such is the case of the ARC Matriarch and the Shredder.

Players will also have new armaments to confront these new enemies, a new Legendary Weapon, and several new pieces of ordnance, which include grenades and mines. The Breaking New Grounds event will last until December 21, 2025, so hurry up and contribute as much as possible to earn all its rewards.
