Arc Raiders Refunds Players Impacted by Cheaters

Cheating continues to be a problem for many online shooters, with studios trying their best to neutralize those that cause trouble for normal players. While Arc Raiders isn't free to play, and therefore has some added protection against hacking, it too still struggles with hackers at times, though Embark has put a plan in place to make the experience slightly better, even if players get in a match against someone breaking the rules.

As noted by players like Jfourmes in the Arc Raiders subreddit, if a match has been identified as being impacted by cheaters, Arc Raiders players will get their items lost at death. A screenshot showing the message from the devs confirms that the player's items were lost due to unfair play and are instantly returned to counter unfair play. The discovery was met with a lot of positivity from fans, who praised Embark for going the extra mile with this.

In fact, Embark Studios seems to be keenly aware of what players are in favor of, as design director Virgil Watkins has commented on future DLC plans. In fact, Watkins has already confirmed that Arc Raiders won't have wild and wacky character skins, instead focusing on maintaining the game's tone and aesthetic.
