ARC Raiders: Combat Recon Quest Guide

Combat Recon is one of the quests that was added to ARC Raiders in the Headwinds update. The quest is offered by Shani, who'll request players to take out a Bombardier and bring back the Spotter Relay for her. But before engaging with a Bombardier, players will need to scope out three cover spot locations in Buried City. So, here's a quick guide to help you complete the Combat Recon quest in ARC Raiders.

How to Scope Out Cover Spot in Buses Near Marano Park in ARC Raiders (Combat Recon)

All objectives for the Combat Recon quest in ARC Raiders should be completed on the Buried City map, starting with scoping out the cover spot near the buses in Marano Park. Marano Park is located right in the center of the map, so it can be easily reached regardless of where you spawn.

Go to the western edge of the park, and you'll spot two abandoned buses parked near the building. Head close to them and interact with the quest prompt to complete scoping out the cover spot in Marano Park.

The next objective for the Combat Recon quest in ARC Raiders is close by, as you'll need to go to the Parking Garage just east of Marano Park.

There are multiple stories of the Parking Garage, and you'll enter through the first level. Directly head to the spiral ramp in the center of the parking garage and head up to level 2.

Once you reach level 2 of the Parking Garage, go through the parking spaces till you spot an open staircase to the right. Enter the staircase and head up to reach the top of the Parking Garage.

Here, you'll have the option to interact with the quest prompt to scope out the Parking Garage staircase and complete the second objective of the Combat Recon quest in ARC Raiders.

For the final location to scope out, head to the Red Tower area marked on the map above. You'll need to reach the hole in the wall on the second floor.

After heading close to the hole in the wall, you'll get the option to scope out the cover spot in its attic as the perfect spot near Main Street. Once you're done with the quest prompt, the third objective for the Combat Recon quest in ARC Raiders will be completed.

How to Get Spotter Relay in ARC Raiders (Combat Recon)

You can also find several Bombardier spawns in the Buried City spawn that you can reach to find Spotters. Some of the best locations to find Bombardiers are near the Plaza Rosa and on top of the Parking Garage, areas you'll already be visiting while completing the objectives above.

Destroy Spotters Combat Recon ARC Raiders

The goal is to get some distance between you and the Bombardier and shoot the Spotters flying above it. The Spotters will leave the vicinity of the Bombardier and will slowly come close to your location. Here, you can use any weapon to shoot down the Spotters, and loot the Spotter Relay from them.

While you need only one Spotter Relay to complete the last objective of the quest, make sure you destroy two Spotters to fulfill quest requirements. After returning to Speranza after fulfilling all the quest objectives, you'll receive Radio Renegade Outfit Variant (Red), 5x Firecrackers, and one Fireworks Box as rewards for completing Combat Recon in ARC Raiders.
