There are a ton of Crafting Materials in ARC Raiders, and among the many items required to progress with the Vendor Quests, and to craft many of the end-game tier items in the game, there are a few select group of resources that tend to disappear as soon as players need them. These might not be so difficult to find, but the demand for them only grows, and if players drop their guards, they run out in an instant.

Watch out Raiders: These Crafting Materials become scarcer faster than you think. Check out this list to see which of these resources to hoard from the early-game, to reach the late game well prepared and with all the components needed to upgrade workbenches, craft the best weapons in the game, and finish the Expeditions Project without a hitch.

Sensors

Needed To Craft Lots Of Useful Items

Sensors in ARC Raiders
  • Can be farmed, but they run out quickly
  • In mid/late game, players will burn three Sensors per round

Sensors can be obtained in most Technological, Industrial, and Commercial hotspots, and by breaking apart ARC Probes, and recycling their components. Snitches often drop sensors as well when they're looted, or at least some ARC components that can be disassembled until players obtain them. Sensors become really scarce once players start to develop certain technologies, weapons, and gear, especially the Raider's Hatch Key, since the dangerous late game requires players to carry one in their safe pockets at all times. Acquiring sensors as players level up becomes increasingly difficult, more so in the highest difficulty zones like Blue Gate or Stella Montis.

If players run out of Sensors, they'll have to return to the Dam Battlegrounds or Acerra Spaceport maps to farm them. But since most players are always on the prowl in this map, it becomes quite hard to procure a good number of these Rare Crafting Components without having to evacuate due to hostile Raiders or ARC Enemies swarming them. Though the most effective method is to breach control rooms in the Dam Battlegrounds map, players can also purchase Sensors from Celeste, using Assorted Seeds. This currency is obtained either by looting or by collecting from Scrappy the rooster in the Workshop. Players will need 20 Sensors for the Expeditions Project (Stage 3), so try to save at least 20 to avoid having to fetch more.

Durable Cloth

A Must Have At All Times

  • Needed to craft advanced healing items
  • Hard to farm in bulk

Without Durable Cloth, there are no healing items in the late-game, simple as that. These medical supply components are scattered across the maps as random loot, often found in Medical or Commercial hotspots, but also in Industrial and Technological POIs. Just looting enough for the Expedition Project (35) will be extremely painful for the players, and that without taking into consideration that Herbal Bandages and Sterilized Bandages (the best Healing Items in ARC Raiders) are also crafted using Durable Cloth.

Players should stack up this component as a top priority, as the more they advance in the game, the less likely they are to find more of these just scattered around. The best place to farm them is in the Dam Battlegrounds, in the Hydroponic Dome Complex's main building. There are tons of these scattered around, and players can stack up to five at the same time. Unfortunately, each of these weighs 0.25, so carrying too much will leave players overencumbered and exposed to enemy fire: Try to extract with 5 stacks max. The truth is, there's never enough of this resource, so any time players have a chance, they should pick as many as they can before extracting.

Electrical Components

Nothing Works Without Them

Electrical Components in ARC Raiders
  • Not so scarce, but they run out fast
  • Required to craft Advanced Crafting Mats

From Uncommon Tier 2 Weapon Attachments, to Advanced Gadgets, Grenades, Mines, and Raider Tools: Everything needs Electrical Components, or their Advanced version. Luckily for players, these items can be crafted in the Refinery, though the components for them run out faster that way. Ideally, players should be extracting with at least 2 to 3 stacks of Electrical Components (or Mechanical Components) per round, though finding them can be problematic if they don't know where to look.

As a rule of thumb, Electrical hotspots and Industrial POIs are the ideal place to look for Electrical Components, though the most experienced Raiders know that some Rare and Epic-grade Recyclables also yield a great amount of them. These crafting materials are also needed to upgrade the Gear Bench and the Utility Station, and players will need at least 30 for the Expeditions Project before the server wipe. Currently, obtaining a steady amount of Electrical Components is complicated, though players can recycle the following ARC Enemy Parts to obtain more: Wasp Driver, Hornet Driver, and Snitch Scanner.

Mechanical Components

Used To Craft Most Weapons, And Upgrade To The Next Tiers

  • Players will need hundreds by the time they reach the end-game
  • Required to craft and repair weapons

The Mechanical Components are also an important crafting resource that players need to have in handy at all times. It is required to craft most Tier 2 weapons, as well as their attachments, but also as a crafting material for Advanced Mechanical Components, which are, in turn, used for Advanced Weapons and Gear. They can be crafted using the Refiner, but the truth is that the cost/output balance will always end up depleting the players' Basic Material stash, and the results won't be as good as one should expect. In fact, by the time players reach the end-game, Mechanical Components are used exclusively to craft Advanced Mechanical Components, and that makes them even more handy to have in stacks.

Players can take on quests from the Traders in ARC Raiders that will grant players various rewards, including blueprints, rare resources, and weapons.

By

For every two Mechanical Components (and two Steel Springs) players will craft one Advanced Mechanical Component, which makes 50 in every 100, and 50 Advanced Mechanical Components disappear real fast. Plus, most Tier 1 Gear, and Gadgets require Mechanical Components to be crafted. The Workshop Upgrades also use a few of them, and each of the Tier 2 and 3 Weapons in the Gunsmith Bench also requires Mechanical Components to be crafted and repaired. So, when players blink, these resources are gone, and it's a real pain to find out or craft more. Keep a steady supply of them by breaching Machinery in Industrial and Technological POIs, or by recycling Rare Salvage. A detail that most players probably missed is that the more low-grade materials they stack, the less space they will have for Advanced Crafting Components. So, there's no other choice but to choose carefully what to hoard in this game, and Mechanical Components should be a priority on the bucket list.

Gun Parts

Without These, Advanced Gun Crafting Is impossible

Light, Heavy, and Medium Gun Parts in ARC Raiders
  • A must-have to craft most weapons
  • An absolute rarity, and their blueprints are hard to find

Light, Medium, and Heavy Gun Parts are some of the most sought-after resources in ARC Raiders, and getting a steady supply of them is a real pain. For starters, there are three types of them, and they appear randomly and in Commercial POIs, at a really low rate, so farming them is nearly impossible. To add insult to injury, it is possible to craft these, but they require three separate blueprints, and these are random drops, so getting them is also a monumental task. Celeste sells three of each per day, but the sheer amount of Gun Parts needed to craft and repair Advanced Grade weapons (Rare, Epic, Legendary) snowballs into a heavy cost later in the game.

So, step one: Take it as a daily task to purchase all nine Gun Parts sold by Celeste. Step two: Start Farming Blueprints until finding the three needed to create Medium Gun Parts, Light Gun Parts, and Heavy Gun Parts. Step three: Hoard them like there's no tomorrow, because in the end-game of ARC Raiders, these are the most scarce materials. Fortunately, the Complex Gun Parts (Epic Grade) which are required to craft Legendary Weapons, are also sold by Celeste, and can be obtained relatively easily in higher-tier maps. Not that extracting them will be a walk in the park, but at least players would not need hundreds of them.
