How To Complete Doctor's Orders in ARC Raiders

The Doctor's Orders quest in ARC Raiders

The Doctor's Orders quest is one of the first missions you will do for the medical trader in ARC Raiders, Lance. The NPC is looking for you to show your savvy at collecting materials before he helps you out any further, so he sends you on a mission to collect some resources that he can use to craft more medical supplies.

To complete Doctor's Orders, you will need to collect the following items:

  • Two Antiseptic
  • One Syringe
  • One Durable Cloth
  • One Great Mullein

Below are instructions on how to find each of these materials in ARC Raiders.

Where to Find Antiseptic in ARC Raiders

Antiseptic is a rare item that is often found in Medical buildings, so the best place to look will be on sites with the associated tag. Thankfully, these buildings are only found on the Dam Battleground and Buried City maps, so you can narrow down your search with relative ease. Given Antiseptic is a rare item, searching in medium or high loot value locations will give you the best chance of success.

Additionally Antiseptic is also a craftable item you can make yourself while back at home. This may not be the easiest route to getting some of it, especially for new players, but if you have your Refiner station at level two, you can craft Antiseptic with 10 Chemicals and two Great Mullein.

Where to Find A Syringe in ARC Raiders

Much like Antiseptic, Syringes are tagged as Medical items and are rare, so searching Medical buildings with a medium or high loot value will give you the best chance of finding them. In addition to finding the individual item, players can also get their hands on multiple Syringes if they encounter and recycle any Rusted Medical Kits they find along the way.

Syringes can also be acquired with relative ease while in Speranza. The trader, Celeste, has five in stock at any given time, which cost 10 Assorted Seeds each. You can usually get Assorted Seeds as common loot while topside, or by recycling some of the fruits you can find, such as Apricots and Lemons.

Where to Find Durable Cloth in ARC Raiders

Durable Cloth is another material that carries the Medical tag, but it is also located in Commerical buildings scattered throughout ARC Raiders. Since its rarity is uncommon, which is lower than Antiseptic and Syringes, you should be able to find some from medium loot value locations, at worst. Given the Commercial tag, this does mean that you can encounter the material in any of the four launch maps of the game, you will just struggle to get everything in one or two runs.

In addition to finding it topside, you can also craft Durable Cloth by yourself from the Refiner Station. To do so, you will need 14 Fabric, which is a fairly easy resource to gather in bulk quantities.

Where to Find Great Mullein in ARC Raiders

Unlike the other items needed in this quest, Great Mullein is the only one without a Medical tag. This is because the material is a plant, so it fits the Nature category, much like other flora like Prickly Pear. You can find this in a number of locations, but one in particular that you may not expect is the Galleria in Buried City, where it is found in abundance in planter boxes.

If you are struggling to find Great Mullein topside, you can also purchase it from the trader Celeste. She has 10 Great Mullein in stock at any given time, and will part ways with one for just five Assorted Seeds.

Best Location to Complete Doctor's Orders Quest

While there are a few places where you can locate the items required to complete the Doctor's Orders quest, your best chance of completing the mission in as little runs as possible is in The Buried City. Players should begin their run by going to the Galleria for Great Mullein, then make their way to the Hospital.

The Hospital has the highest chance of having the other three required items, as it is the only high-value Medical building. This means that, while it is not guaranteed, if you're lucky, you can get everything you need in a single run. Even if you don't manage to on the first run, it's recommended you return there a couple of times to gather all the required materials — remember to make use of your Safe Pocket for the rarer items, to ensure you bring it back topside in the event that you don't complete a successful extraction.

Doctor's Orders Quest Rewards

Once you have collected all the required materials to complete the Doctor's Orders quests, players will need to visit Lance at his Clinic in the Traders tab and mark the quest as done. Once completed, you will receive the following rewards:
