In the wake of Arc Raiders' tremendously successful launch, many players have come together to ask Embark Studios to add a duos mode to the wildly popular extraction shooter. Arc Raiders first made its debut on October 30, 2025, and is currently available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Currently, there are only two ways to experience Embark Studios' new extraction shooter. Players can choose to go solo in Arc Raiders, or they can link up with two other people to form a trio. Quite a few gamers have already taken to social media to share their vastly different experiences in both modes. While some people have found solo play to be something of a joyful communal experience where humans unite against bots, others have suggested that the trios mode is full of bloodthirsty encounters where groups pose even more of a threat than the Arcs themselves.
Arc Raiders Players Want a Duos Mode
In a recent post on Reddit, MediumDefinition2480 asked Embark Studios to consider adding a duos mode to Arc Raiders, as they would like the option to simply play with a friend instead of a group. The request seems to have gained traction within the Arc Raiders community, as it has received over six thousand upvotes in less than 10 hours. Many people were enthusiastic about the idea of seeing a duos mode come to the popular extraction shooter, stating that it would quite literally change the game for those who have chosen to drop into its trios mode without a third party member. This isn't the first time gamers have made such a request after the launch of a highly successful multiplayer title, as Elden Ring Nightreign initially made its debut without a duos mode, though it was added to the game later.
While the title is still very new, many people are hoping that Embark Studios is paying close attention to feedback from the community while planning what the game will look like in the coming weeks and months. Gamers also recently asked the developer to lower the price of cosmetics in Arc Raiders. While cosmetics are completely optional purchases and do not impact one's gameplay performance, many people still seem to feel that prices are too high for a game that isn't free-to-play in the first place. Some fans specifically mentioned the Deep Sea Bird set that entered the store during its most recent rotation, which includes a hat for Scrappy at the cost of 900 Raider Tokens.
Even though many people have been playing Arc Raiders for less than a week, it seems like the game is poised to continue growing in the future. Embark Studios has already released a short roadmap going over new features and events that will be coming to the game in November and December. With so much content to enjoy and even more just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Arc Raiders.
