How to Get a Free Loadout in ARC Raiders

Players can avoid spending their resources to craft weapons and equipment, and instead just get a free loadout before deploying in a match in ARC Raiders. The free loadout will grant players randomized equipment, weapons, consumables, and throwables in a match, with the only thing that's guaranteed being the Free Loadout Augment.

So, to get a free loadout in ARC Raiders, you'll need to first select the "Play" button in the main menu. This will immediately take you to the map selection screen.

Once the map is selected, you'll be taken to a loadout screen where you can add items from your stash to your character's inventory. You'll usually be doing this if you want to start a match with a custom loadout. However, right next to the custom loadout, there's a second tab that you can select to get a free loadout.

After selecting the "Free Loadout" tab, all you need to do is click on the "Ready Up" button. This will immediately start the matchmaking process, and you'll eventually enter a match with randomized gear.

Your free loadout will usually include the following items.

A Weapon and Some Ammo
One or Two Throwables
Two Medkits
One Free Loadout Augment
One Light Shield

Going with a free loadout in every match may seem enticing, but it's definitely not. There are some major pros and cons to using Free Loadout in ARC Raiders, which keeps this mechanic balanced. Let's discuss when you should, and shouldn't opt for a free loadout.
