Rusted Gears Location In ARC Raiders

The looting mechanic is based on RNG, so you can search anywhere to find Rusted Gears in ARC Raiders. That being said, Rusted Gears have an Industrial tag, which indicates where to find them on the map. So, searching in Industrial-tagged areas increases the probability of finding Rusted Gears in ARC Raiders.

The best two maps to scavenge for Rusted Gears in ARC Raiders are Dam Battlegrounds and Spaceport. Both maps have several areas with the Industrial tag. As for the other two maps, it's not really recommended, as Buried City doesn't have any area with an Industrial tag, while The Blue Gate has fewer Industrial areas than Dam Battlegrounds and Spaceport.

Dam Battlegrounds is great because players will always start the raid close to an Industrial tag. The northern side has both the Power Generation and the Hydroponic Dome Complexes. The southern side has the Scrap Yard and the Water Treatment Control.

On the other hand, Spaceport is even better for getting Rusted Gears in ARC Raiders since it has most of its Industrial areas packed in the middle of the map. So, players can aim to scavenge the center of Spaceport on every raid to increase their chances of getting Rusted Gears in ARC Raiders.

Rusted Gears are mainly used to upgrade the Gunsmith. However, you can recycle Rusty Gears to get four Metal Parts and two Mechanical Components in ARC Raiders. Both are important materials to create weapons and their ammunition, on top of many other things, like upgrading weapons.
