ARC Raiders is a third-person extraction shooter that sends players Topside to hunt for items and resources that will be useful back at base. However, to actually take the loot home, you'll need to extract it first, which is a challenge on its own. There are multiple ways to extract in ARC Raiders, and this guide will explain each method in detail so you or your stuff is never left behind when an ARC Orbiter hits.
ARC Raiders: Best Skills to Unlock First
Here are some of the best skills in ARC Raiders that players should unlock first. These include some upgrades to character stats and new abilities.
How to Extract in ARC Raiders (Normally)
Each raid in ARC Raiders is 30 minutes long, and players can open up their map to spot a white symbol with a downward arrow (extraction points) that has a timer. These are the standard extraction elevators, trains, or air shafts, depending on which map you're currently on.
Once the timer is depleted, the extraction point will be closed, and you'll need to travel to the next available extraction point. So, while the time is active, simply head to the extraction point and call the elevator/train. This will start emitting a loud alarm that will attract nearby ARC Machines and human players.
So, it's best to hide nearby and wait for the extraction doors to open. Once it's safe, head inside and initiate the extract by interacting with the console. It'll take about five seconds for the extraction to start, after which, players will be safely extracted to Speranza.
Players can also call an extraction elevator, initiate the extraction process, and safely extract to Speranza while downed (DBNO), as long as they're inside the elevator while the extraction is initiated.
How to Use Raider Hatch to Extract in ARC Raiders
Raider Hatches are another form of extraction method in ARC Raiders, which requires a Raider Hatch Key. These keys are one of the rarest items in the game, which players can either get via exploration or purchase for 9,000 coins from Shani, the trader.
If you have a Raider Hatch key, extracting from a map becomes much easier and silent. All you need to do is locate a Raider Hatch on the map, which will be indicated by a similar extraction icon, but without a timer. Once you arrive at the location, simply use the Raider Hatch Key on the terminal.
Rest assured, there won't be any alarms when you initiate an extraction through a Raider Hatch in ARC Raiders. Simply slide down the opened hatch when it's open, and you'll extract successfully. Since Raider Hatches do not have a timer, they can be used at any time, whether it's the start of a match or the last few seconds.
Similar to normal extractions, players can also initiate and safely extract via Raider Hatches even if they're downed (DBNO).
