While the Medical tag gives you an indication of where to look, it is not always guaranteed that you'll find them on every run. Medical buildings are only found in Buried City and Dam Battlegrounds, so players on the hunt for this item are better off checking these maps.

There is no specific spot within these buildings where you will find a Cracked Bioscanner, so ensure you check every lootable drawer and cabinet possible, as well as tables and hospital beds, just in case the item is lying on a surface ready to be grabbed. The best location to find Cracked Bioscanners is the Hospital in Buried City, as it is the only one of the above sites that is marked as high loot value. This means uncommon and rare items will spawn there more frequently. Once you have it in your possession, you should consider moving toward an extraction point to ensure you don't lose your loot.
