ARC Raiders will receive several "bigger" updates before the end of 2025, Embark Studios said. The promise was offered as part of a broader teaser of the developer's "ambitious" post-launch plans for the game, which will soon be formalized in the form of a proper ARC Raiders content roadmap.
An extraction shooter for PC and current-gen consoles, ARC Raiders locked down an October 30 release date in mid-2025. With only days remaining before launch, publisher Nexon—also the parent company of Embark Studios—intensified its marketing efforts. As part of that push, Embark Executive Producer Aleksander Grondal appeared on the 81st episode of the Friends Per Second podcast, which aired this Saturday, October 25.

Embark Teases 'Ambitious' Post-Launch Plans for ARC Raiders
About two hours and four minutes into the episode, Grondal reflected on Embark's post-launch plans for the game, which he described as "ambitious." The current agenda includes updates with new maps, ARCs, and quests, on top of the typical balancing tweaks. While Embark is aiming to have these content drops roll out regularly, ARC Raiders won't be adopting the typical seasonal release model commonly used in live-service games. Instead, the Swedish developer is planning to have a more flexible schedule, delivering meaningful updates when they are ready.
Stella Montis Content Possibly Coming Around Christmas
Grondal mentioned that Stella Montis, in particular, may receive "something before Christmas." Stella Montis is one of the five maps that will be available in the game by year's end, alongside Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, The Spaceport, and Blue Gate. It was not available to play during the recently concluded ARC Raiders "server slam" test. Its revision is one among several "bigger updates" that the extraction shooter is planned to receive before the end of 2025, Grondal said.
ARC Raiders 2026 Content Roadmap Coming Soon
The imminent arrival of ARC Raiders won’t affect The Finals, Embark’s free-to-play shooter launched in December 2023. Although the two games are developed by separate internal teams, they support each other and have contributed to both projects, according to Grondal. While ARC Raiders won't adopt The Finals' seasons and seasonal passes, its content cadence may still find some rhythm eventually, after Embark identifies what works best. Grondal added that the first full-fledged content roadmap for ARC Raiders, focusing on 2026, will be finalized in the coming weeks.
ARC Raiders will start at $39.99, with its Deluxe Edition priced at $59.99. The game will implement fully platform-agnostic crossplay, meaning PC players could regularly find themselves facing console users and vice versa.
