ARC Raiders Players Are Running Into Server Issues

ARC Raiders' servers appear to be down, with players reporting being stuck in a queue when attempting to load the game. Embark's Community Manager for ARC Raiders has posted in the game's official Discord that the developer is aware of the problem and is working to solve it.

The new extraction shooter has been making waves within the genre as an accessible entry for both newcomers and veterans of the genre. It's unclear if the sheer number of players attempting to access the servers is the cause of the issues or if it is an unfortunate coincidence. ARC Raiders held a successful server slam prior to launch, and the first few days of the game's life following its October 30 release were relatively free of connection problems.

ARC Raiders Servers are Down at the Moment

As reported by ARCRaidersNews on X, the latest update from Embark notes that the game is experiencing issues with servers, voice chat, and the party system. These issues appear to have started around 10am PST, with players reporting being kicked out of matches they were in and being stuck in loading queues when trying to load back into the game. Players who are able to make it into a match report that they are being put into parties with other players, despite having crossplay off and queuing for a solo ARC Raiders match.

Even with the ongoing server issues, ARC Raiders is still boasting strong concurrent player numbers, with over 300,000 players active right now on Steam alone. The game is currently the game with the 4th most concurrent players on Steam, just behind Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, and Battlefield 6. With all three of these games having a free-to-play component now that Battlefield 6 RedSec has dropped, ARC Raiders being a paid experience makes these player count numbers an impressive feat.

With ARC Raiders having so much success only a few days after launch, it's not unexpected that server issues would pop up. There is no word yet on when ARC Raiders players can expect these connectivity problems to be solved, but Embark has been providing updates via the game's official Discord.

There is also no word on whether ARC Raiders players will receive any form of compensation for this downtime. In the meantime, ARC Raiders players can spend some time preparing to dive back into the Rust Belt and study some of ARC Raiders' best tips and tricks, as well as peruse the game's map layouts.
