Veteran players know Rocketeers are the last ARC you would want to mess with, yet this trial specifically asks players to do exactly that.

While poking a Rocketeer with snowballs may not sound like the best idea for a cautious raider, it is not as challenging as it looks. Rocketeers are deadly, and one mistake could get you knocked out. However, with the right strategy, you can even exploit this trial to farm ARC Raiders rank points. Here's how.

How to Complete the 'Throw Snowballs at Rocketeers' Trial

To complete ARC Raiders' week ten trial, you need to throw at least four snowballs at an active Rocketeer. Start by finding a snow pile and collecting enough snowballs. Next, locate a Rocketeer and poke it so it flies low. Once it does, start hitting it with snowballs from your Quick Use slot. Here's a step-by-step guide:

Prepare the Snowballs

In ARC Raiders' Cold Snap map condition, you can find small piles of snow marked with a stick. Pressing the interact button near these piles gives you one snowball, and you can keep collecting from the same pile since it continuously respawns. Try to gather at least 20 snowballs and put them in your Quick Slot pocket.

It helps to find a snow pile near a house or an outcropping. Collecting snowballs takes time, and you do not want to die from ARC Raiders' frostbite condition. In my experience, it took about three minutes to collect 20 snowballs.

Locate the Rocketeer

One of the best locations for completing the Rocketeer snowball challenge is the Hospital in the Buried City. There is usually a Rocketeer in this area, and the surrounding buildings provide solid cover.

If you are attempting the snowball trial on ARC Raiders' Dam Battleground map, head to the Primary Facility. It offers multiple vantage points, and a Rocketeer often spawns nearby.

Stun the Rocketeer

There are two reliable ways to stun a Rocketeer before hitting it with snowballs. You can throw a Showstopper or a Hornet Driver at it, or destroy two of its thrusters on the same side to limit its mobility. Either approach gives you a window where the Rocketeer is largely harmless while still alive. Use that time to land as many snowball hits as possible.

How to Three-Star the Week 10 Rocketeer Challenge

You need to collect 4,000 points to earn all three stars in this ARC Raiders trial. That means hitting Rocketeers with at least 16 snowballs, since each hit grants 250 points. You also need to extract successfully for the points to count, so try to leave the match as soon as you reach the required total.

How to Exploit the Rocketeer Trial for Farming Points

To farm points during the snowball challenge, try to make the Rocketeer turn turtle. If you're lucky, stunning a Rocketeer with a Showstopper or Hornet Driver can sometimes cause it to land on its back. When this happens, the ARC cannot take off and will remain on the ground until destroyed.

Once it has capsized, you have plenty of time to keep hitting it with snowballs and rack up thousands of points. Some players on Reddit report scoring over 100,000 points using this method. It's worth noting that attempting this in trios is easier than solo, as teammates can help prevent frostbite and keep the Rocketeer stunned.

Tips for Completing the Rocketeer Snowball Trial

Keep these in mind:

Bring a Raider Hatch Key. You don't want to risk missing the extraction window and dying after completing the challenge.
Farm Hornet Drivers in advance. Hornet Drives act as free Showstoppers and are needed to stun the Rocketeer for this trial.
Travel light. Don't carry too many items or weapons. Focus on the essentials and make sure you have space for a few stacks of snowballs.
