The Unwritten Rules of ARC Raiders Explained
ARC Raiders places an emphasis on community interaction in its gameplay, so players will want to make sure they're following these unwritten rules.
What Is The Max Level in ARC Raiders?
As players progress through their ARC Raiders journey, completing quests and attempting successful extractions from the game's various maps, they will earn XP and level up their character. With each level increase, you will earn skill points to improve your build for the next run.
At the time of launch, the maximum player level one can achieve is 75. This means, there is a total of 75 skill points you can spend towards upgrading your character. Keep in mind, there are more than 75 points worth of skills on the board, so this means you will need to be selective when deciding on the skill you want to unlock next.
How To Increase Player Level Fast In ARC Raiders
Reaching the maximum level in ARC Raiders will take a lot of work to accomplish, but there are a few actions in particular that will help you reach the next level in a heartbeat. The following are the best ways to farm XP:
- Looting and scavenging
- Damaging and destroying ARC machines
- Damaging and defeating other players
- Successful extractions
- Long periods of time topside
- Completing quests
With this in mind, players will want to adopt a few strategies to maximize on their XP acquisition. Here are some tips for farming XP and leveling up fast.
Be the aggressor
While there are plenty of reasons to cooperate with fellow Raiders or even play with your friends in ARC Raiders, it is still, at its core, a PvP experience. You'll find yourself in many a tense standoff as you establish the intentions of other players on their own runs, but when push comes to shove, it's better to be the aggressor.
In contrast, you won't need to question the intentions of ARC machines, but rather whether you're equipped to handle the challenge they present. When it comes to combat in the game, both against other raiders and ARC machines, you'll receive a healthy flow of XP for both damaging and conquering your enemies.
Loot, loot, loot!
Raiders have a purpose for going topside, and that's to collect valuable resources that can be used for the betterment of those below the surface. In order to acquire said resources, players will need to search every nook and cranny in, above, and around the abandoned buildings across the game's maps.
You'll receive 200XP minimum for each lootable location you check, regardless of whether it's already been searched by someone else. This also includes the bodies of fallen raiders, the wreckage of destroyed ARC machines, and even forageable fruits you find by trees.
Run a marathon, not a sprint
While it's not a strategy you may have the resources or means of employing, taking your time in completing a run can play a big part how quickly you level up. Sure, there are plenty of reasons to go for a quick run to collect some essentials, but once you have the means of stretching them out, you should.
Players will earn just under 200 XP per minute they spend topside, so there is plenty to farm by simply participating in a run and avoiding any big risks. Given some runs can go for 20+ minutes, you'll find yourself leveling up really quickly with just a handful of lengthy expeditions.
Know when to call it a day
Every minute you spend topside is earning you XP, but you should also bear in mind that failing to extract not only results in you losing your loot, except for the item in your Safe Pocket, it also denies you the extraction XP bonus.
Entering buildings, particularly those with a high loot values, will always be a risk, as they can be swarming with ARC machines and fellow raiders. With this in mind, take calculated risks. If you're low on ammo, inventory space, health, or shields, then consider if the reward really outweighs the risk.
