In true extraction shooter fashion, the With a Trace quest for ARC Raiders forces players to use their intuition and trust their gut — it's a simple investigation quest, but with no real clue on what to look for, many players may find themselves lost. In this guide, we'll briefly go over the two main objectives needed to complete this ARC Raiders quest.
How to Sell & Recycle Items in ARC Raiders
There are several items in ARC Raiders that players can sell to get coins to spend at traders or recycle to get essential crafting components.
Where to Find Signs of ARC Activity in ARC Raiders With a Trace Quest
The first order of business is to go to Barren Clearing in Blue Gate. This is a minor point of interest at the western end of the map, and while it has a clear label on where it is, the objective you need to interact with isn't so obvious.
Once you get there, look for the large Baron Husk. It's the remains of the enormous ARC that should be pretty hard to miss. Look for the ball joint of one of the large, severed legs near the husk. It should have a gold/yellow Investigate prompt when you approach it. Interact with that, and you can cross this part of the quest off your list.
The good thing about the With a Trace quest is both of its objectives are found on the outskirts of the map, which means less player traffic. You don't need to kill anyone or destroy anything either, so bring a free loadout and focus on the objectives.
If you need some ARC materials, Barren Clearing should be a decent place to scrounge for some parts or hunt some smaller ARC bots.
Inspect Communications Device at the Adorned Wreckage
Your next stop is the Adorned Wreckage, which is a short jog south of Barren Clearing. Here, you're looking for a small computer on a table. It should be near a piece of wreckage with an antenna that has cables leading to the bigger hunk of junk in the middle of the POI.
Interact with the computer, and you'll be done with this quest. Thankfully, you don't need to bring anything home with you for this job, so it doesn't matter if you survive your trip to Blue Gate or not. Once you get back to Shani at Speranza, you'll get the following:
- Looting Mk. 2 Augment: Comes with more carrying capacity and an additional Safe Pocket slot.
- Medium Shield: Has more health and resists more damage than a Light Shield, but it weighs users down more as well.
Both of these rewards are worth 2,000 Coins when sold, but given the cost needed to craft or buy them, you're better off keeping them. There are far better ways to earn Coins in ARC Raiders, and both of these items can make that grind a little better.
