Arena Breakout: Infinite is a new tactical extraction FPS on Steam with "Very Positive" reviews that is completely free to play. Arena Breakout: Infinite has been one of the most highly anticipated FPS games in recent months, often compared to well-known titles such as the Call of Duty series.
September has been largely dominated by Hollow Knight: Silksong's highly successful release on Steam and other platforms. However, Team Cherry's long-awaited roguelike wasn't the only major release of the month. Another indie game, in a completely different genre, is also gaining traction and building a growing player base.
Now That Silksong is Out, There's a New Game Topping Steam Wishlists
Now that Hollow Knight: Silksong is finally out, a new game is at the top of the Steam Wishlists.
Arena Breakout: Infinite Is a Free Tactical Extraction FPS
On September 15, Arena Breakout: Infinite's full version launched on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The gameplay focuses on raiding, looting, and extracting valuables across different maps. One of the things that sets it apart from other extraction shooter games is its emphasis on tactical loadouts, offering over 900 weapon mods and 20 attachment slots. The game also features a dynamic weather system that introduces new environmental challenges each run, keeping the gameplay loop fresh.
While the full version was only released recently, Arena Breakout: Infinite has been around in Early Access for some time and is now kicking off its third season alongside the global launch. The current version features multiple game modes that mainly focus on PvPvE raids and extractions. Like most modern first-person shooters, Arena Breakout: Infinite also includes a team deathmatch mode for players who want the thrill of classic PvP battles.
Arena Breakout: Infinite takes an interesting approach to progression. Players can build their own trophy room, which is a stronghold to showcase their achievements. With the global release, this feature has expanded, allowing players to add sections like the Living Area, Intelligence Center, and Workbench, along with new ways to display their hard-earned accomplishments. As for new raid mechanics, there are now Supply Stations on each map, which are believed to introduce a new layer of tactical decision-making.
According to SteamDB, Arena Breakout: Infinite reached over 20,000 concurrent players shortly after its full launch. This milestone not only marks a big success for the developer but also suggests that now is a great time to try Morefun Studios' free-to-play tactical shooter. It's also worth noting that Arena Breakout: Infinite isn't the company's only free-to-play project. Morefun Studios is already developing another title, The Hidden Ones, a 3D anime-style fighting game with no official release date.
