Core AIC Area is the place where Arknights: Endfield Endmin would build most of their factory stations. It's also where they can spread electricity to different areas, making it an important base in the game.
The space for the Core AIC Area started rather limited, but can later be expanded to fit the Endmins' needs. Here's how to expand the Core AIC Area to create more space for your Endfield base.

How To Expand Core AIC Area Size In Arknights Endfield
To expand the Core AIC Area in Arknights: Endfield, you must first complete the AIC Steward quest. Afterward, an AIC Steward will appear on the southeastern side of your Core AIC Area.
Speak to the AIC Steward to open the area upgrade window. Here, Endmins have two options: to expand the area, or to construct a Depot Bus. Keep in mind that you can't build Depot Bus without proper area expansion, so the two upgrades go hand in hand.

AIC Steward Quest In Arknights Endfield
As you progress through the main quest and expand your factory in Arknights: Endfield, you will get a quest called AIC Steward in your mission list.
To start the AIC Steward quest, open your Baker message, then head to the Tasks tab. Next, find the message from Fiona the Comms Officer, the one where she speaks about the AIC Steward developed by the Endfield R&D Center.
Complete the text to trigger the quest, which simply requires you to speak to the AIC Steward to introduce a way to expand the Core AIC Area base.
Depot Bus In Arknights Endfield
Once you meet the AIC Steward, you can unlock the Depot Bus node in the Power section of the AIC Factory Plan page. This unlocks both Depot Loader and Depot Unloader.
Both Depot Loader and Depot Unloader must stick to the Depot Bus. The Depot Loader will load the submitted item into the depot, whereas the Depot Unloader will unload the assigned item from the Depot.
Basically, these two work as alternative routes for taking and storing items. Instead of having to focus all buildings on the central tower, Endmin can now use the Depot Bus instead.
