Gifts are an important mechanic to understand in Arknights: Endfield if you want to raise your Operator's combat potential to its fullest, or delve deeper into their lore. You'll likely be gated while upgrading your Operators' Talent Nodes before you unlock the ability to give gifts, so it's best to continue with the main story while raising your Authority Level to reach this gift-giving point as soon as possible.

This guide explains everything you need to know about gifts in Arknights: Endfield, including where to find gifts, how to receive gifts, what raising Trust does, and of course, exactly how to give gifts in Arknights: Endfield.

How to Give Gifts in Arknights Endfield

You need to talk to an Operator aboard the OMV Dijiang ship to give gifts in Arknights: Endfield. This means you have to wait until you reach Authority Level 15 after completing the 'Paving the Way' main quest, as you can't board the Dijiang again until this point in the story.

Operators are found wondering about the Dijiang, unless you have them assigned somewhere specific on the ship. Whether you have them assigned or not, you can call up to three Operators at once to your side by using the "Operator Contact Panel" in the Central Ring area of the ship.

When speaking to an Operator aboard the Dijiang, the gifts will be in order of their preference, with the gifts starting on the left most suited to that Operator, meaning they raise Trust the most. You can also check to see what type of gifts an Operator prefers by looking at the tags beside their portrait while speaking with them aboard the Dijiang. For example, Last Rite prefers gifts with the "Mind Honing" and "Charity" tags, whereas Chen Qianyu prefers gifts that are tagged with "Culture" and "Charity."

You can only give gifts to Operators that you own. Whether that be from getting them for free in the story, from events, or from pulling on Banners in Arknights: Endfield.

Where to Get Gifts in Arknights Endfield

You can get gifts from Stock Redistribution Terminals in Arknights: Endfield. The earliest one you find is located by the TP Point between Hub Base and Worker Dorms in the Valley IV area. Gifts are kept under the "Cultural Goods" tab here, and you need to spend Stock Bills to buy them. Clicking on each gift will show you its tags before you buy it, in case you're after a specific type of gift for a particular Operator.

How to Receive Gifts in Arknights Endfield

You'll know an Operator has a gift to give you by checking the "Operator Contact Panel" in the Central Ring area of the OMV Dijiang ship. A yellow gift icon will be present on their portrait, and they will move to the top of the Operator list here. Simply call these Operators from the panel and speak with them to receive your gift.

A yellow gift icon will also float above an Operator's head as they're walking around the Dijiang to indicate they have something for you. So if you see this while exploring the ship, speak with this Operator to receive your reward right there.

What Does Trust Do in Arknights Endfield?

You can unlock more of an Operator's Talent Nodes when you build enough Trust with them in Arknights: Endfield. Just remember that you still need to promote characters like normal to reveal more nodes, and use Talent level-up materials to unlock Talent Nodes. So, it's a good idea to prioritize giving gifts to Operators that you are actively building and using, to give them a boost in combat as soon as possible.

Additionally, although only a secondary perk, gaining more Trust for an Operator also unlocks files in their Profile, allowing you to delve deeper into a character's background and lore.
