Asmongold has passed some major Twitch names to become the most-watched streamer in North America on the streaming service. It's the latest feat that Asmongold has achieved on Twitch this year.
Known both for his World of Warcraft prowess and controversial moments, Asmongold is a popular streamer that's been active online since 2009, and on Twitch since 2011. While Asmongold has since largely moved on from streaming World of Warcraft, the streamer has clearly maintained and grown his success on Twitch.

Now, Asmongold has a new accolade, becoming the most-watched streamer in North America on Twitch in 2025 so far. As reported by Streamscharts, the first quarter saw a number of contenders for the top spot, with Asmongold reaching the top with 26.22 million watch hours in the first three months of the year. Fellow Twitch record holder KaiCenat wasn't far behind, achieving a similarly impressive 22.10 million hours watched, while TimtheTatman came in at 20.21 million. Closing out the top 5 were HasanAbi, with 19.70 million viewer hours, and Jynxzi, with 19.57 million hours, respectively. While all of the top three records are impressive, it's worth noting that of the three, KaiCenat managed to take second place while streaming the least, going online for just 274 hours. Asmongold, in comparison, streamed for 567 hours, while TimTheTatman was online for 1,002 hours.
Asmongold's Wins on Twitch Keep Piling Up
In March 2025, Asmongold took the record for the most hours watched on Twitch at the time, which was already impressive on its own. 5 million of the hours watched of his content were achieved within just 14 days, which is certainly quite a feat. At the end of 2024, Asmongold also finally monetized his alt-account, which he's now primarily using to stream on Twitch. The money from this act piled up quickly, with Asmongold sharing that he'd nearly reached six digits within just a few days.
Twitch has proven to be extremely profitable for some streamers, with the race for the top constantly in flux. However, despite the thousands or more that some streamers are taking home, Twitch still wasn't profitable for Amazon as of 2024. It's also faced competition from streaming services like YouTube and Kick, which have brought some former Twitch streamers to their platforms via lucrative contracts. While there's no telling who will get the most hours viewed in the months and years to come, it seems Asmongold's popularity is going strong.
