Should You Confront Otama or Wakasa in Assassin's Creed…

During their hunt for The Golden Teppo, Assassin's Creed Shadows players will find themselves attending a tea ceremony at which the illusive Onryo may well be in attendance. Once the ceremony is over, they'll have the opportunity to confront Otama or Wakasa in the hopes of getting some revenge for Naoe's father's death.

Based on their conversations with the two women before the ceremony, Assassin's Creed Shadows players should already have a pretty good idea of which one of them to choose. Should You Confront Otama or Wakasa in Assassin's Creed Shadows?

Like many of the other choices in Assassin's Creed Shadows, it doesn't really matter whether players choose to confront Otama or Wakasa, as the final outcome remains the same either way. However, there's a strong argument to be made for choosing Wakasa, as doing so helps the player to arrive at the aforementioned outcome with a little less blood on their digital hands.

What Happens if You Confront Otama?

If players choose to confront Otama, Naoe will chase her down and assassinate her in the street. On her corpse, they'll find a letter addressed to Wakasa in which it's revealed that Wakasa is the Golden Teppo and Naoe will decide to pay her a visit at Osaka Castle to get her revenge. Apparently, Otama was also corrupt, so it's fine that Naoe just murdered her in the street for no real reason.

What Happens if You Confront Wakasa?

If players confront Wakasa, she'll confess to being the Golden Teppo and warn Naoe to leave Sakai while she still can. After Wakasa leaves, Naoe vows to hunt Wakasa down in Osaka and tear out her heart. Apparently, Wakasa just kinda forgot that she invited Naoe to see her in Osaka before the start of the tea ceremony, as when the latter turns up there later, she seems somewhat surprised.
