The Assassin's Creed franchise has reached some lofty heights over the years, with Big Ben and The Great Pyramid of Gizza just two of the many iconic structures that the series has scaled over the years. However, the highest point on the map in Assassin's Creed Shadows is not man-made, but rather a geographical feature of Edo period Japan.
Every Assassin's Creed Game, Ranked
From the original to now, every Assassin's Creed game has its highs and lows, but some titles are way better than others.
If players are able to find the highest point on the map in Assassin's Creed Shadows, the Happy Place Trophy / Achievement will be unlocked. However, given the sheer size of the game's world and how mountainous the south of Honshu is, finding the location in question can be fairly tricky, at least until players start to get a little closer to it.
How to Reach the Highest Point on the Map in Assassin's Creed Shadows
In Assassin's Creed Shadows, the highest point on the map is Mount Hakkyo, which can be found on the southeastern border of the Yamato province to the east of the Yoshino map marker. Upon their arrival at the synchronization point, Naoe or Yasuke will remark that they've now seen the top of the world, after which, the Happy Place Trophy / Achievement will be unlocked.
Can You Find Mount Fuji in Assassin's Creed Shadows?
Assassin's Creed Shadows takes place in central Japan, primarily in the Kansai region. Although Mount Fuji (3,776m) is around twice the height of Mount Hakkyo (1,915m), it straddles the border between the Yamanashi and Shizuoka prefectures, which are around 200 kilometers to the east of the area that players get to explore in Assassin's Creed Shadows. As such, Mount Fuji is not in the game, hence why Mount Hakkyo is the highest point on the map in Assassin's Creed Shadows.
