The Assassin's Creed series has been skipping Steam at launch since AC Valhalla, which hit the market in November 2020 and took nearly two more years to reach Valve's storefront. In late September 2024, Ubisoft announced that it is abandoning this practice, promising that Assassin's Creed Shadows will be available on Steam from day one.

Shortly thereafter, the company launched a big Assassin's Creed sale on Steam, treating nine installments in the long-running series to rather hefty discounts. Some of the biggest price cuts were reserved for the Assassin's Creed RPG trilogy, which is currently available for under $36 combined. Specifically, AC Origins can presently be picked up for $8.99, whereas AC Odyssey and AC Valhalla have had their prices slashed to $11.99 and $14.99, respectively.

Another half a dozen older series entries have also received hefty price cuts as part of the recently launched sale. E.g., the fan-favorite Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag can now be purchased for $11.99, or 70% off, whereas the AC3 remaster is being offered at a 75% discount, bringing its price to $9.99. This particular pair of deals includes the content-complete editions of its respective games. The same goes for Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry, the standalone Black Flag expansion that can currently be picked up for $3.74, and is thus the cheapest product from this wave of promotional offers.

Most of the ongoing deals will remain available to Steam users until Thursday, October 17. The only exception is the 70% discount on Assassin's Creed Rogue, which brings its price down to $5.99 and will only be live until October 16. All of these deals offer nearly $300 in combined savings.

The ongoing promotion is set to conclude on the same day that Assassin's Creed Mirage will finally reach Steam, just over a year following its initial debut. And while Ubisoft has already promised that AC Shadows will be available on Valve's storefront from day one, its Steam listing hasn't yet gone live since the company made that pledge. The long-awaited Assassin's Creed game set in feudal Japan was initially planned to launch on November 12 but has recently been pushed back to February 14, 2025.

Assassin's Creed is an action-adventure stealth series published and developed by Ubisoft and its various first party studios. Originally releasing in 2007, the series has seen 12 mainline releases with the recent games moving to a more open-world RPG style. Each game typically showcases major historical moments like the Italian Renaissance, Crusades, or French Revolution, focusing mostly on a long standing conflict between the free-minded Assassins against the order loving Knights Templar.
